Anyone going to the EAA airshow in Oshkosh?

Maybe... Kinda wanted to go but not real motivated.  Was hoping to see a Mig 21 that was supposed to be there but I see one got wrecked in MN last weekend and I'm assuming it's the same plane.  If I do go it would probably be Fri. the 27th since the B-29 will be there.

Did you see there's going to be a B-24, B-17, and P-51 at the airport next week?  Maybe I'll just get my fix from that.

No, I didn't see that about the planes being at the airport. I did hear plane noise that caught my attention today, a 4 engine plane with redtail. Didn't catch it till flying away. I think it was a B17.

I was thinking of going Saturday the 28th. I have never been there before.

You need to go sooner or later living this close.  One thing I will say though is to think of it more as an aviation trade show than an airshow.  There are tons of vendor booths and seminars during the day, and the actual airshow portion doesn't kick off until later in the afternoon.  The best part of the whole thing is being able to walk through what is literally a parking lot for warbirds, with no ropes around the aircraft.

All for the sake of a failed drag chute.
