Title: Squeaky brakes.
Post by: Zoney on July 18, 2012, 02:20:33 PM
Maybe it was there before but I never noticed.  I landed a few P47N missions yesterday and noticed the squeaky brakes sound.  Anyone else notice?  Was it there before?

More cool stuff whether it's new or not.

HTC added some more sound options, like when you bail your chute open has a sound.

I caught fire a few times yesterday in the 410. I like the sound, the fire - not so much.

And a clunking noise when you get an oil hit.

Can we have the cool fire noise slowly morph into a bacon cooking noise?

+1 this needs to be wished

I'd love to hear the fire from my plane as well, for example if I set a Zeke on fire, want to hear sizzling bacon in the cockpit.

ALFAMEGA I tried to set you on fire, didn't work though :) You need to come rook so we can fly together sometime...

The breaks make me want to scream at my crew chief every sortie. I mean really - sheesh I have flown 172s before without that bad of a sound on the breaks :)

:airplane: Had a couple of engine problems and failures in my flying career, but never one that sounded like a washing machine!

I Like the squeaky brakes sound it reminds me of a Beechcraft Musketeer I use to fly some. It's breaks squeaked and you had to ad brake fluid every other time you landed it.

:old:  I have it on good authority that to get the new engine damage sound HiTech put his tennis shoes in a clothes dryer.   Quite resourceful!  :aok

Today I receive some correspondence from davidwales and it reads:

" The new additions to the game are Brill!  :x I wish when on fire or pilot wounded, your pilot would frantically scream and flail about in the cockpit while belching out obscenities.  Just as it was :salute in WWII"

I too like the new sounds. I rarely get to land so wasn't sure about the brake sound, but I was certain on the engine clunk because I fly mainly in the 109 and those things seem to attract engine shots.
Great news from on the new 410 sound TB, I enjoy your soundpacks and always have since starting in 2007. You even sent me emails on how to set it up.  :salute
