Is it just me or is flying the Arado entertaining and addictive? There's something about near invulnerability I like. But when you get a high Mustang or Tempest bearing down on you, the seat cushion does get slightly dimpled. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
What I really like about it is that you can hit just about anywhere on the map and in a hurry. If you get multiple Arados coming from different directions, you can turn an airfield from a safe haven with nothing on radar into a smoking ruin within about 3 minutes.
And takeoff and landing are quite entertaining, almost as fun as CV ops.
I would like to have those guns in the back though, regardless of the weight penalty.
And I need to stop losing them in silly ways. So far I lost one in a "ditch" by exiting from the spawn point, another to a disco, a third to a landing-pattern vulch, and another to an arena reset (and resulting AAA hellstorm) while on final approach!
I still got a couple of perkies left though. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Fly an NOE profile into hot territory if ya really wanna jack it up a few notches (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Last tour Regurge and I took a pair of 234s from 27 to the HQ (I think it was bish in the NW?). NOE all the way, popup - fire the RATOs to 6500-7000ft, drop the eggs and dive away. Land, rearm, do it again.
Second trip wasn't as easy. A few cons around the HQ. Two went south of us w/o ever getting inside icon range. A Ta152 came into icon range just before bomb drop, then we turned and hauled ass. The 152 was chasing Gurge and I was chasing the 152 (short chase (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) ). I passed the 152, he rolled right and I slipped left, and he started shooting at 600yds and rapidly opening. 1 strike, no damage. Couple of bandits around our recovery base, so we headed for the alternate. AFV attacking the alternate, but not enough fuel to go anywhere else (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Was one wild ride. Gurge had to log but I ran another 2 hops in that sortie before landing and logging (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I tried to take-off with max payload w/out using ratos from elevated field. I tryed to keep her in a smooth dive after take-off but guess air was too thin and plane made a good bounce. Somehow I got it up and checked damages: Both main landingear gone.
I thought "Nice, There went 70 points" but because I was up and loaded I though I should do the job and dump that Arado afterwards.
Here's how that trip ended: Pics one (http://www.kolumbus.fi/staga/gears.jpg) and two (http://www.kolumbus.fi/staga/landed.jpg)

I've never been NEAR the arado!

Staga I hope you tried to land anyway. Its very possible and not all that difficult to belly land a plane otr. Havent tried an arado though.

A well positioned Jug can fix an arado real quick. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

it's verra possible to belly in an arado. I had to do that earlier today and pranging the gear similar to what staga did. Took 3 tries to get'er down on the runway because I was still a little too hot and would have overshot the runways and ended up loosin my points to a ditch. But she set down on the engines and slide nice and straight to a stop, for a landing (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Check out those pics Rosco (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Only problem was how to decrease speed. Without gears working as a airbrakes it took ages to slow down to 120mph. I Had to do a pull-up first time when approaching the field. With 200mph speed I guess my feets would become wet (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

As I said on my page about recon planes "I have to admit the sound of rocks being sucked into a jet engine is kinda addictive". NOE flight is something I've been doing since WB 2.72 in any plane. Now that the Tempest and Arado have showed up, I find myself going offline in nearly any map just to rocket around hills. Sucking rocks into the engines, hearing the satisfying scream from a field mouse as he gets eaten by my wailing engine....ahh, heaven!! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Once the 262 gets here I'll be doing NOE runs in it just like WBs. About my only gripe is that when we see an Me-163 I can't do NOE flight; that rocket engine would rip you apart down low. Just too much speed!!
What's funny is most fighter pilots HATE being low. Leaves them open to a bounce from above, and it doesn't give them alt to run. I like finding a nice canyon and suckering the sorry slob into chasing me. Beaten quite a few guys by doing that, including a B-26 Ackstar. Once I get some time I'll post a film of NOE in the Arado; great fun!!

I love this plane. I had a few misgivings at first when it was reported to me that landing it was so hard. I have yet to have a problem. Soulyss is the only guy to even get close to me (1k) and every landing has been butter smooth! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
I have had some memorable flights in it, too. I made an inverted salute to funked in his own Arado, as well! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
I have yet to get a kill in it, though.
Well, there was that one time I tried someone's advice in launching one (ahem; no names) and porked the takeoff.
Landing this thing is simple as long as you take the time to do it right. All you need is one notch of flaps. The flaps will extend below 200 indicated, and gear before that. How could you go wrong? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

Caveman, all I have to say about the NOE and popup with RATO is OUTSTANDING. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Staga nice landing. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Voss, I should have filmed that inverted pass you made. I think we passed you more than once that night, heading in opposite directions. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
And here is a fun Arado trick. Once the bombs are gone, get her up to maximum speed, engage full elevator trim, and yank back. If you do it right, both wingtips will come off, and the plane will pick up about 30 mph due to the decreased wing area. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
On the subject of kills, I have recorded one, a ground vehicle last tour who chose to roll from a VH as 1500 kg of HE was inbound. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

What a positive thread!
Too bad someone figured out how to perk farm and it sure as hell wasnt me! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I cant fly a Ardo thing-a-ma-jig, and sure as hell aint going to spend 40 hours online trying to buy one. Well, actually, the FDB did for me, and I still couldnt.
Damn perkies are hard to get. Unless your a pansy farmer type who explioted and racked them up, the perk system actually works.

Oh waaaah!! Just jump in a bomber with a lot of bombs and go pork fuel and ammo at an enemy base. I did this the other night in a Lanc and got 6 perks when I landed. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Yes, it is a fun plane! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) One time I left it on auto climb and just sat and watched TV with my girlfriend... hang on, I've just got to check my heading. I returned to my PC to find a red dot on radar immediately over my plane! A quick scan found a P51 closing on my six at just 600 yards away! I dived down and dropped my bombs and speed away, but not before receiving some engine damage. I rtb'd and I thought I had made it safely home, but the second engine packed up on approach and I crashed! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Luckily no one got the kill! You want fun try landing one of those things on a carrier. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Was in the TA the other day and saw Octavius on the deck with one and I told him there was no way he could take off from a carrier...well he did it.
I was so impressed that I had to do it..made it and landed.
In the main I've lost one jet to lockup and almost lost one to a diving F4.

SO much for positive...anyway, I hit 2 facilities in the 2 months of perk farming as you call it , and all my perk points came from just dogfighting and field capturing, so your theory may apply to some, but not all.
