Title: I can't hear the squeaky brakes
Post by: Citabria on July 30, 2012, 01:11:34 AM
I have ch pedals and the toe brakes mapped for differential braking.

I have never heard the new squeaky brake effect in spite of trying to make it happen. I have the sound turned up 100% and have tested it and it works in the test.

but does not work at all when using toe pedal brakes i guess.

Me neither. Same setup. I just thought I was doing it right... or wrong.  :huh

Only works for me when I use keyboard braking, not pedals :headscratch:

First, consider who's posting this reply  :)

As we get older our old ears and ear drums can't hear the sounds the way we used to when we were young wippersnappers. :old:
Can't say this old fart has heard them either, but I have heard that oil leak sound.

Maybe each wheel braks has an asymetric sound and they cancel each other out in the cockpit and you only hear them if positioned correctly.
