FAA flag is beautiful, Swordfish is beautiful and deserves to be remembered. No place in AH unless it is relatively immune to ship ack as it was against the Bismark. The Bismarks uber radar directed AA guns struggled to track such slow moving cloth covered aircraft. In AH it would be shredded before it got within 5k

If it got added we would need to tone down the ack which we should do or remove auto ack

Won't happen, only in scenarios/fso's this happens.

Yes, lets add this plane, then tone down the CV back, this way other planes can attack CVs with impunity.

Torpedo planes are meat in AH.  Proximity fuzed AAA pretty much ensures that a sea level slow attack like they have to perform is a one
way trip.  Making the torp birds even slower and less well armed isn't going to help them much.  While I like the Stringbag personally, only a
masochist would fly one in AH.

Would have to remove all ack. And imagine this thing still making it to its launch point. How would bringing in a biplane from 1936 enhance the game?

How often would you yourself actually fly this if it were added?

So basically you know diddly squat about the plane you're wishing to be added.   :rofl

Just to be fair, the bismark's guns couldn't depress far enough to hit the swordfish, the problem wasn't with tracking the targets.

Yes, the problem was with tracking the targets.  The speed of the Swordfish were too slow for the German fire-control predictors used by German gunners.  This caused the shells to explode way in front of the planes, minimizing the threat of damage or being shot down from shrapnel.  It also helped that some of the Swordfish came in so low that the Bismark's flak guns couldn't depress enough to engage the attacking planes.

Read "Pursuit: The Sinking of the Bismarck", it's a very good book about the pursuit and sinking of the Bismark.

Oh, he meant tracking as in range. I thought he meant tracking, like they couldn't accurately direct the guns to the correct bearing.

Basically.  The fire-control predictors couldn't compensate for the low speed of the Swordfish.
