Title: Earth Unaware (one of the prequels to Enders Game)
Post by: texasmom on August 04, 2012, 12:35:28 PM
... was SUCH a good book. Supposedly there's a set of 3 prequels to Enders Game (Earth Unaware is the first of these). I already can't wait to read the next two.  Can't wait for the movie!

"Ender's Game" and "Ender's shadow" were the best of the series IMHO.  I'll have to read the prequels. I just hope they don't kill the movies like what happened to starship troopers.

*edit. Some other military sci-fi authors i enjoyed are John Steakley "Armor", David Drake the "Hammer's Slammers" series , William Dietz "Bodyguard" and "Where the Ships Die", and David Weber the "Honor Harrington" series (the first several books at least, it gets a little long in the tooth.)

those aren't all the books i read but the ones i remember really enjoying. :aok

Man, I had not thought of Ender's Game in years... I might have to pick those up.

I agree kot... the others didn't even seem like they were in the same series.

I enjoyed Earth Unaware very much. I only wish I didn't hear about it until after all three were published. I hate the wait.

Had no idea they wrote prequels.  I liked Ender's game a lot and the sequels weren't horrible.
