Took the family to Cabela's in Dundee earlier today and across the road was a place that had Blue Bell Ice Cream. I had a single scoop of Pistachio Almond and all I can say is that scoop was the best ice cream I have ever had.
I wish up here they had more places that served it.

Legend has it that Sunbat Muppet once pushed down two old ladies to get a half scoop of vanilla some little girl had dropped from her cone.
Seriously, guy loves blue bell. And for good reason, stuff is amazin'.

Legends grow fast. That only happened a few weeks ago. I told Sunbat he is a jerk and he told me I never tasted blue bell before.

There's a little mom&pop icecream shop 1/2 mile from my house that sells Blue Bell, every Friday night is family icecream night.

If you ever pass through Brenham, Texas go by the Blue Bell factory. They will give you samples that just came off the line.

This is a trip I take the kids on twice a year. It's a peaceful drive in the country and the tour is actually mre interesting than you may think. I guess in Texas we are spoiled that we can just go to the store and pick up a gallon or two  :banana
-
mmmmm...I could go for some Butter Pecan right now!
-
I have a freezer stocked with it all the time. :D
-
Its moved as far north as Ft Collins Co. now....we go down once a month from Rawlins and get a gallon.
Im a Homemade Vanilla man myself.
Used to live 14 miles from Brenham in Somerville. Kids went every year or so on school tours.

I'm in the Caribbean. I know people who have brought BB here, in a cooler / whatever, on the plane. Apparently its that good they'll bring in a couple Quarts for the week when they visit. Somehow haven't tasted it yet myself.

This is making me Hungry :cry

Lambo, we too used to have an ice cream (and movie) night... but we find it difficult to limit it to just one night. :)
My favorites: southern blackberry cobbler, banana split and tiramisu (I think they only had that on shelves for a month, I'd love to find it again!!!)

I love Blue Bell Ice Cream! On suggestion I ordered some. Expensive because it had to be shipped to NE ohio from Tex!
They have specialty flavors on occaision. The Cinnamon is to die for! I had a gallon of Cinnamon and Cherry Vanilla.
Ice Cream is not the same to me now. I have to have Blue Bell or nothing!

This is a man of discriminating tastes. Good for you ordering it and having it shipped. We do that with Lou Malnati's Chicago Pizza cuz it is awesome.

I had to read it twice before i saw "blue bell." I need a therapist.

Homemade Vanilla.
There is none greater than Homemade Vanilla. I'm a HV snob and will dig through the freezer to find the freshest half gallon and refuse to buy anything over a month old.
-
One of the hardest things I had to do is after my heart surgery was give up Blue Bell. I was hooked on Pralines and Cream.
-
Ugggg I envy you all! I cant eat ice cream, im horribly lactose intolerant even meds dont help..ive tried. I get very sick for days off a small spoonfull of it. So please...eat some for me please! I guess its a good thing though..it wouldnt work good with my diet of 1250 calories per day, I quit drinking pepsi about 9 months ago....its amazing how fast your calories will go by when your counting them...uggggg...

Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla = best ice cream ever.
My family lives in TX and it's always a must have when I go to visit :rock
-
by far the best brand of coffee ice cream ever.
-
I did not know that Blue Bell had stores that served their product. Is this the same Blue Bell ice cream that you buy in the grocery store?

They have plants that make the product. You can tour their plant and sample product.
They tell you during the tour which flavor is most popular.... it's not vanilla.
-
I am a homemade vanilla guy too.
-
Gonna have to see if I can come across some of this Blue Bell stuff next time I am in Indiana visiting my daughter..... Sounds like top notch stuff. So far best ice cream I have personally ever had comes from Oberweis Dairy in the Chicago area..... Hands down the best store bought dairy products around this area you can get.
As close to farm fresh as there is imo, and I grew up on a dairy farm :)
-
You guys are giving me brain freeze just by reading your posts.

2.) Max: For confirming what Coach told me.......basically talked me into ordering.
