Title: Composite Icons
Post by: FTJR on August 12, 2012, 11:19:07 PM
Could we have an option to have both the player and his plane in the icon.

The number of times I've been asked, who was the spit? I dont know, I just see the names mostly. Last night acting on a tip I headed towards a sole green guy far away from the fray, as I gained visual I saw 2 dots going round and round, then I saw his name, so I asked if he wanted me to stay out or help. He asked for help, and it was not until I got with a k or so that I saw that he was in a b25c desperately dogfighting with a p38.  :o

That would either really clutter up the screen or the font would be reduced in size, and if the font is reduced in size I wouldn't be able to read it. :(

I've taken to using Alt-I a good deal recently, partly out of need to know (Good to know what that friendly plane you're helping is capable of) and partly out of curiosity and boredom when passing friendlies on climb out.

I'll plus one this IF, as others mentioned, it doesn't clutter up the screen too much.  If not, I'll keep pressing Alt-I.

I have a button set on my controller to alt + i  ...i can quickly see what plane a friendly is flying and quickly switch back to normal mode.
