Who woulda thunk that you could camp in a field gun? And that someone could get so riled up over getting "camped" by one? :rofl

If it is Doom whose name you have blotted out, you failed at doing it to the first kill and, if so:

Nah in one of his messages he said "For what its worth i was talking to doom over vox"
Curious who it is though :rofl

Doom just laughs when he gets killed - he doesn't take the game that seriously.
Funny stuff Snuggie.

Ahhh. I see that , now.
I am, however, curious as to why he called Snuggie a dildo :headscratch:

On second thought, I'm not touching this one. Thanks for the laughs tho! :D

I failed to find the humor in the drama. Oh well.

Would've been more impressed if you upped a plane instead of sitting there holding the fire button down. Then again, the guy who is complaining is dumb to go back to the same field again.

vulching uppers is the weakest sauce in the game (except for maybe spawn camping in gv's in a group). vulchers admit by default that "don't let them get up, they might kill us!"

Not always. I often vulch, just to collect the different varieties of whines. :aok

shoulda used rockets to de-ak, whole situation would be avoided...at least the second time. Curious if that award for sandiest vag is constructed entirely out of beer cans.

No, vulching of fighters on rearm pad is, a favourite pasttime of mine. No other target yells more "SHOOT ME" to me, particularly when hangars and ords are up and there is no reason to ream but one... :noid :devil

I only vulch if I had to chase my opponent for 2 sectors or more..............or in preventing an upper from killing inbound troops when the town is ready.
If there are no troops on the way, I go elsewhere.

I miss the funny PMs thread. So entertaining.

I vulch all the time...if people didn't up or we beat them back to that it's their own fault
:salute

No, what sucks is when you actually come down to ground level and let them know that they won't be vulched, and your the only con in the sector, and instead of upping for a fight, they sit in field guns trying to kill you. And then when they see a friendly up, THEN they up so they can gang you. Then you ask yourself why are you even bothering.

I hear that. Have experienced that so many times when taking a P-40 or some other third tier plane to make a slow circle at 3k, far away from an enemy field. Most times, nobody ups at all. That wasn't the case here. The bad guys had a cap going. I chose to shoot at vulchers looking for easy kills, as opposed to being an easy kill.
People are going to gang, vulch and everything else - and in late war monsters, to boot. They get mad when instead of getting their name in lights, they get a complimentary 37mm enema. Killing vulchers is the real sport of Kings. :aok

"they did it in WWII..." is lame because they was life and death. This is fun. The game simulates the mechanics of war so we can have fun "playing" it as a competative sport.
vulching is like hitting the other boxer with a chair as walks out of his dressing room on the way to the ring. It mis-interprets why you are there, and what a "fight" means, and why it's fought.

What about if you enjoy the landing, taxiing and re arm as part of the immersion of the game

Your arguing with a 12 year old doesn't even play the game. Just let it go.

Vulching is fun, rocket vulching double so. Killing vuchers fun too, although I prefer to come from the next base with cannons.
Field guns bleh, though I might feel different if I could actually hit anything.

Do you actually believe that I took the trouble to obscure the perpetrator's name, only to tell you who it is?

Herro!

Not too difficult to figure out...
-
You can narrow it down to a few suspects, but the purpose is to make people laugh - not to shame anyone here. Otherwise, the name wouldn't have been blacked out and the thread locked in short order.

B-29. 25k is more than enough, though. Drop some bombs and hope somebody decides to up 30 seconds later.
That's vulching with style.

No damage points. :D
(http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o460/caldera_08/b29-3.jpg)
Sometimes, no planes happen to be on the runway and you have to settle for trucks.
-

I've seen this tactic used for dropping hangars too. Why you need 20+ peeps in missions. Have to factor in 5-6 guys fighting the stationary targets and losing.
BTW Caldera, stop vulching your own runway in the manned gun. Even though it's fun to shoot squadies/friendlies taking off. They soon catch on to who it is. :D
-
it's not vulching, it's camping. :)

now that's some funny shvt right there mang! :aok :aok :aok     :ahand

Even when ya love vulchin' & you're doing it, ya still know it sucks....but it sucks for the other guys.... :rofl :old:

Fair enough, when I let you go after a collision which damaged you and you ignored me when I wished you luck in getting back to land, I should, by your analagy have shot you down? :aok

I have to admit don't remember any such PM.
It's not that you should have shot me down (it's not me to tell you what you should do or not), but you clearly could have shot me down, and for sure I would not have been complaining about that. Any player with a red icon is a legit target, but it's each player's own choice to let some targets go.
And it's each players own responsibility to keep up his SA when sitting on the rearm pad :)
-
Danny once collided with me and wished me luck on landing. Such a nice fellow. Although I never replied either, I was fighting to stay in the air. :joystick:
-
You make it sound like a regular tactic
-
I did say "once" :P

Sounds more like the 190's who sole purpose is to take out radar. Why is it it's always a 190 that takes out the dar and augers?
-
The MA is a free for all folks, it dosn't take long to learn that.
I think one of the main things we all enjoy is the unpredictability of human opponents. Anything can and will happen, (especially things that somebody, somewhere dosn't like)....it's no different than when you walk out your door into the world every day.
If the Ma atmosphere gets your goat, please join us in the many special events AH offers. It's a different world.
:salute everyone, even Nuke.

been awhile since I played....
Camping in a field gun is possible?
or is this just a whine? :)
There is a position called - field gun of Muffintops? - Somebody sent HT too much bribe liquid?... :)
Muffintops is a squad name? Who is the CO - wrag?
This was actually a very funny but at the same time a very sad posting.... what the heck happened to the people who laughed at getting shot down by a field gunner? It used to be a - hey dummy - you just ran into a field gunner who actually knows how to lead the dang thing....
Seriously ...don't take it so seriously...

Shooting red guys is the sport of kings! With a plane or bombers guns, a gv or PT boat, carrier guns and field guns. Heck I have even nailed planes with shore batteries. Anyway to shoot red guys. At 30k or on the runway it matters little to me, I'll try to shoot them all. Rearm pad kills are the most precious tho. Camping in a field gun? LMAO is this even possible? :headscratch: :lol

Disagree, if your dumb enough to repeatedly roll at a vulched field then you deserve to pad my score. Sometimes fields are being vulched in an attempt to capture it, then it is completely justified.

You don't need to justify jack squad in a sandbox game. If they up enough bombers they can run you out of bullets.
