The September FSO is "Leaning Into France".
"In the Spring of 1941, the British RAF adopted a strategy called 'Leaning Into France.' The RAF sent fighter sweeps as well as relatively small groups of bombers or fighter-bombers with large numbers of escorting fighters. This was designed to draw the German Luftwaffe into a battle of attrition and to keep Axis forces committed to defending targets on the Continent.
At about the same time, the German Luftwaffe mounted hit-and-run raids on targets along the English coast, in an attempt to tie down Allied defensive forces."

It was debated a few months ago; it will not change anytime soon.

Looks like a good one.

The following may not carry bombs:
109F4
Actually, I take issue at this... It was precisely the 109F that was used for these raids on British targets. We even have a skin for it in-game. They were the high-speed attackers, and once they dropped their bombs would look for a fight before heading home (it wasn't just hit and run, it was to also cause losses).
I REALLY wish HTC would add the bomb back to the F-4. Nothing you can do about it, but I hate that we are missing this. The only other jabo you have is the 109E, and with a bomb it's slow enough to be caught by anything. Especially the skies full of SpitVbs that will be roaming.
If one thing's been proven time and again, it's that in groups the 109E is totally outclassed by hordes of hurr2s and spit5s. Every scenario or setup that uses them proves this in some way.
On another note, you may need to add the 110C as an optional just so the LW has the cannon firepower to bring down the bombers. Those B-25s will soak up more ammo than an entire flight of 109Es can offer.

Nice Bino! :aok
I agree the Me110c would be nice. Was it around then? I am not sure I have my AC use/date charts any more.
-
Technically they had moved on, or were moving on, to Bf110D, E, and F models, which were more powerful and possibly faster and better performing, BUT, not as much as the G. The closest we have would be the 110C. I don't know how many were fielded and in what numbers, but it was just a suggestions. I know they were quite common in Africa at the same time.

Thanks! I hope you enjoy it. :salute
According to my reading, and this unit history web site (http://www.ww2.dk/), none of the Zerstörergeschwadern were in France at that time.

Great looking setup bino. Looks like a blast!

Nice job here, Bino.
Looks very fun, and certainly some challenging matchups there. I forsee some serious white knuckled fights.

Not nearly as bad as putting the scenerion on Saturday at 3 pm EST during football season. :bhead

Looking forward to it Beans. Nice work!

Although none of the Zerstörergeschwadern were in France during that Spring, Erprobungsgruppe 210 did fly a mix of 109E and 110C/D from Abbeville until about May, at which point they were packed off eastwards to prepare for the invasion of Russia. So, strictly speaking, there were around twenty or so 110s in France in April 1941. Too small a number to model at this scale, IMHO.

Bino sir, have you set a fuelburnrate? I cannot find it in the writeup here or on the AHEvents site.

I have updated FATE Squads information. My computer at home is fried so I can't say for certain that I will be able to participate next month. I know that we are getting close to being CiC for an event, I'm just not sure if it's this one or not. If so, I would like for it to pass until the next event if that is ok. I'm not certain when I can get things going again, but that should be enough time to get my self squared away. :aok

Copy that. Good luck with the fried silicon.

Is there a reason the British coastal radar would not be operational in 1941?

Radar is modeled in this setup by the bases flashing when an enemy plane is within 20 miles.
