I bought one of these kits and I must say it's $80 well spent. The thing levels itself when I set it down now.
Easy to install and they remembered to put ice cleats on the feet.

My ladder have those built in. They are great.

Really? I had to order mine separately from the only local supply house that carries this brand. They did install it for free though :D

jeez for $80 you'd hope so, considering its about $1 worth of parts :eek:

I hate self levelers on extension ladders. I use a 28ft one everyday and I learned after using one that had those horrid things on it to never have any put on mine ever

that is steel right? It looks like alloy but it cant be because its smaller section than the ladder rails its supporting ...

They're aluminum. The gears inside are brass or bronze or some other copper alloy by the looks of them.
