I have been wondering this question for quite sometime now, and I'm trying my best not to make this sound dirty at all. Simply enough, do you like to put your stick on your legs, or would you rather have it on a stand?
Personally, on my legs. Better control and I don't have to reach.

I like to put my stick on my desk. It looks better & bigger there, I can grab it more easily and I can apply way more pressure. And boy, what a grip I do have! :uhoh
It's also easier to take nice pictures of it.

Actually its not a bad question...
1) I used to place it on the desk, but it would make my elbow hurt after a while, so I placed a towel under my elbow. This kinda worked, but still the angle my elbow was at caused some pains after prolonged periods. It was all rather futile as sitting down that long made my back stiff and hurt more anyway...

it doesnt matter what other people do, do what is most comfortable to you.

I stopped watching the gif after 10 seconds of nothing cool happening

I've got a twisty, so I like to have mine on a stand..... you boys take that
anyway you like. :D

My CH I keep on the desk. It is nothing pretty to look at, but it is rigid, sturdy, and has done the job for years. Much like.....
I can't explain the little red light, though.
-
On the desk...offset to the right.
-
My CH gear are on a special flip out unit that positions the stick and throttle just below desk height to the left and right of the keyboard tray.
-
In my lap.
-
On the desk, to the right of center of mass. It is similar to the throttle on an F-16, certainly not in the middle. [Gutter time for the bored among you.]
Boo

Tall and proud on the desk. I adjust my chair height to allow hours of pain free throttling, pulling and twisting.
-
I have a roll-out tray on our desk that I have and my stick sits at chest level in the center of my chest.

T-Flightstick X (Thrustmaster) on my keyboard tray. Always have liked this style of cheap stick. Very comfortable to use, simple and durable.
-
on a roll out tray with a towel underneath it on my desk to the right so my hand can keep good control on the stick during an intense dogfight with my P40F/N/E/C lol

I put it just under the keyboard so I can stick and type at the same time

It's not about what I like. I've had my stick on my lap for 7 years now, and that's where it will stay. The reason I bring this question up is, is that I was playing with another member of Aces High (Daddkev), and when I put the stick on my lap he looked at me all weird and said that he could never do that. I was just wondering what the general consensus was, which it seems to be most players prefer it on a stand or desk.

Holy crap :x

Recliner with stick in my lap and legs up, only way to fly. No rudder pedals though I use a twisty. I could mount pedals to the recliner if I wanted them that bad.

In my lap.
