September Snapshots:

Sept 5   68Raptor  Operation Olympic (http://www.ahevents.org/events/snapshot/snapshot-setups/40-pacific-theatre/348-operation-olympic.html)

In this Snapshot we will recreate just one of what would have been many aerial assaults by the United States Navy on the Japanese island Kyushu, pitting some of the best Navy planes against some of the best planes in the Japanese Empire!

Sept 12 68Hawk  Ghosts in the Darkness:  Wilde Sau (http://ahevents.org/events/snapshot/snapshot-setups/42-western-european-theatre/65-ghosts-in-the-darkness-wilde-sau.html)

What to do when the radar is down and you can't see a thing?  Throw up as many planes as you can and radio them where to go.  What could go wrong?  Bring on the Lancs!

Sept 19 CRYPTIC  A Milk Run (http://ahevents.org/events/snapshot/snapshot-setups/42-western-european-theatre/50-a-milk-run.html)

Summer, 1943.  The United States Eighth Army Air Force is gaining confidence.  Its complement is now up to 13 Heavy Bomber Groups and 3 Fighter Groups.  Today, the assigned target is a factory in Northern France at Lille, making aircraft parts for Messerschmidts. An easy mission...But the pilots of the Jagdflieger are equally determined to send these upstart Yankees home with their tails between their legs...

Sept 26 68Raptor  Hesitation (http://ahevents.org/events/snapshot/snapshot-setups/41-mediterranean-theatre/301-hesitation.html)

The plan behind the Anzio landing was for the U.S. VI Corps under Major-General John Lucas to land behind the German lines. The Germans, as usual, reacted swiftly.
