I'm currently in New Iberia. Fairly close to the eye but on the west side of the storm. Relatively light action here. Some winds but not bad and very little rain so far. Had the storm not flipped the bad weather to the East we would have bailed yesterday to go towards TX. Our RV isn't exactly prime hurricane material.

We're in a 3 br trailer in East Baton Rouge, east of the city. Currently raining hard with sustained winds of 30-40mph gusts to over 65.  Lost the lights for about an hour, but we back up now.  My son is in Lafayette and he also said it's not too bad yet.

We lost power about 1300 and have been on the generator since. I can power everything but the AC darnit. Fortunately it's been a little cool outside. I went out to set up the gen and it was cooler outside than inside. Wetter but cooler. So far it's been a pretty benign situation. If it weren't for the power it would be a non issue. I'm still online and watching TV on the satellite. I made sure there were extra straps on the dish so both the internetand tv are working great.

where you at Mav?   Our power outages have been intermittent.......maybe went out 5 or 6 times since last night.  Longest we were w/o lights was maybe 2hrs.  At least the water is going down about 1/2- 1 in/hr.  Hopefully it will drain enough before any more hard deluges come down.        and good luck Mav      :salute

We are in KOC campground in New Iberia. Right off of hwy 90 and north of Lewis Rd. Our grandkids in Jeanerette had power all day. They told us that they had lost power 3 times in small storms in the last 2 months so they figured it would be out and here they keep it and we lose it. sigh. Time to hang up the 'puter for the night.

Take care all and good luck to those who have been or are getting hammered by Isaac.

We are in Baton Rouge in a trailer.   Alot of my neighbors have skirting missing or damaged, some of their lighter stuff floating in the street, so far so good here though....no damage     :pray

Woke up this morning to cloudy skies, no rain but even higher winds than during the hurricane. Go figure.  :huh

So far so good and I'm hoping the power company gets the juice flowing soon. I miss my AC!  :cry

No damage done here at all for us and the grand kids indicate they never lost power at all. The only downside for them is that daddy has to go to work today instead of staying home like he did yesterday.

yep woke up to a little drizzling rain but no wind.  power still on so we are good to go.  took a lil drive a short bit ago, turns out we're in this nice cozy lil pocket of electrcity.  most neighborhoods around us are out.  only a lil bit of debris on my lot, clean that up in about 30min once the rain stops.
