I love this guy. Really. You save a ton of ammo when you run into him. There you are at 30k with his Lancs (almost always Lancs). You do the right thing to show him an historical matchup and go out front... but as soon as you get 3.0k from him he bails. 414 sorties this month alone and more than half of those he bailed. If you stay behind him but climb he dives and bails.
Why fly for more than an hour and bail? :headscratch:

Even though he bailed... It sounds like he won... Not the gun fight, but the mental fight...
Its his way of playing not yours... He keeps flying the way he wants to while you make a ridiculous thread.

I had a 2v1 with a Spit 9 and Pony yesterday, they dived in for a pick whilst I was engaged. I killed the pony, damaged the Spit but had lost cannons on one side and was dry if ammo. I wasn't going to be able to escape so I saddled up the Spit and chased him till he clipped a wingtip and crashed.
He then sat there without ending sortie for10 mins whilst I flew away and landed. He was well inside the dar ring and would have got a ditch no matter. He just made sure I didn't get the kill. I presume he then bailed, got a ditch and upped again.

On the few occasions I have run into him I was escorting fighters and he was in no danger of being attacked. Yet he bailed.
You dont get proxies beyond about 1.5k range.

I noted tonight someone just like you. He spends $15 a month just so he can gripe about this AH program on local and make everyone want to be somewhere else.

I can't believe all you guys okay with bailing out instead of finishing the sortie! What kind of way is that to play a game? And at the end of the month you guys will give this clown a big high5/wtg when he's top bomber dweeb. :rolleyes: This game is in a sad state if the majority of the player base thinks that bailing out when confronted by opposition is acceptable.
To hell with the fight in a combat game....it's all about the score isn't it.

i agree that it is sad and kind of pathetic behaviour, but there is plenty of that in AH, it's not solely limited to bomb+bailer types
it's not going to change unless HTC wants it to, and why would they? the guy pays his money to do his thing and isn't hurting anyone

Irrelevant. Helps his score or not, irrelevant. Whether we think it's for score or whatever, doesn't matter. Yes, most of us would be quick to condemn this type of behavior, but again, it's his 14.95 a month.

When is the last time you were at 30k? If you have been lately then you know there are alot of targets up there. Some are bombers, some are fighters. All of them have invested only a little time and patience to get there. Just like the stuff on the deck, some are good fights some are bad, but bailing when you get engaged at 30k is just totally lame. Period, it's lame. Justify it any way you want, but, it's just lame.
Fights at alt are totally different. Planes handle differently, you have more choices to make, and more mistakes too.
I'm up there too. I see Chalenge around me alot. I put myself in a position to intercept, fighters or buffs, and I see him in that position too. It's idiots like us that stop many buffs BEFORE they drop, and call out inbound missions early enough for some folks to help with the intercept.
My mantra on altitude: "I don't mind fighting on the deck, I just aint gunna start there every time."

It never made sense to me how a guy who flew F-16's for the CIA while battling scorpions in the cockpit had time to develop a flight sim, either...

I often wonder why people do things in this game or play a certain way..... Its kind of funny actually. This guy is at 30k. He just waits for people to climb all the way up to him, and then he bails...Hilarious.

Because for him the fun is annoying you. I'm sure he chuckles to himself everytime he does it. It's called poor sportsmanship. It ruins any game. But hey he's an anonymous-internet-account-holder so Karma does not apply to him. Shaming him on the boards seems like the only recourse doesn't it? But, alas, shame has no affect on the AIAH.

He is giving away free kills. Look at his player stats. But he isn't at 30K and bailing for sure, he has 308 bomber sorties in only about 1.5 hours

We are not talking about getting caught with a playboy magazine. Even a 7 yr old can fight in a cartoon sim and probably do a much better job than at least a few in this thread. :cheers:
After going through the thread again it occurs to me that we have the same nonsense here as always. We have the johnny-come-lately crowd that have handicapped themselves to 5k of E... the crowd that just want to insult anyone in their path... and then there are the moonbats still going on about CIA... the usuall crowd really...
But no one brought up that maybe this bomber guy could be salvaged and encouraged to work with the team a little. I think this is why the population of AH users is on the decline.
Keep yucking it up and pulling the alt-f4 trick and pretty soon AH could be gone.

This not only a bomber thing. I chased a guy who flew through the ack twice to take out ords and bailed after he "got the job done".
Guys, if this is your flying style, go back to your xbox or MSFS in your mommy's basement and leave the MMPG's to us adults who actually WANT to engage someone.
