A couple of years ago the RAF gave the Germans copies of photo recon of bombing raids to highlight unexploded bombs, you can clearly see UXB's. :old:
They found a Grandslam bomb still live near one if their dams :old:

good thing that one didn't pop......that would be a major disaster
-
Most European militaries still have full time personnel doing nothing else except cleaning up after both wars. It would be ironic to get killed by WW2 today after all this time. But it does happen.
-
Watch the video at the bottom of the link of them exploding a 550 lb bomb in Munich. :O
-
It would definately suck to killed 70yrs later. But on the upside.....you probably never knew it happened
-
Also 1.5 TON mortar round uncovered in Warsaw: http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/08/28/us-poland-bomb-wwii-idUSBRE87R0V020120828

There's a video somewhere of them actually detonating one that was found in a river. Pretty neat IMHO.

saw video of emergency personnel detonating a tanker full of isobutane. it crashed here in town and instead of "wasting" time and effort to transfer the load to another trailer (which is unsafe not to mention illegal) on the roadway, they came to the decision to blow it. pretty frickin awesome looking I thought.

That's it. LOL!!! At :20 look at the bottom left. Little guy takes off running on the water. xD
But yeah....nine tons of straw on top of it and it was still that big. Wonder what it would have looked like without it. :t
