Removed #s 1 & 2.  Thanks for shedding light on the subjects Butcher, Karnak.


#3 Bombs dropped before armed.

I think that if bombs are dropped before armed (below 800ft) that they should be the equivalent of a 250lb bomb, so whatever they impact (directly) it does the same damage that a 250lb would do if armed.  This would apply to all bombs, no matter what the "armed damage" would be.  So if a 4000lb "cookie" bomb wasn't armed and hit something, its (direct impact) damage would be that of a 250lb armed bomb.   (Note: An unarmed bomb that impacts the ground for example needs a new type of crater, so that we can tell that the bomb in-fact did NOT go off, but rather just impacted the ground).    

#4 WWI they used to drop smaller bombs than they did in WWII and definately smaller than todays.  

Since vehicle bases have a fighter hanger and out of that hanger comes the "marker plane" the FI, I think that we need another WWI plane, that drops 2 (or more) 50-100lb bombs.  

I think that it would be more realistic if we had that, it would make it easier to defend the vehicle bases too.  Maybe add 1 vickers 303 on th efront? (or two).  That would be nice.  Or another setup could be, choosing between the 2 vickers .303 or the 2 (or more) 50-100lb bombs.  Then the adjucant loadout would be between 1-2 vehicle supplies and 5-10 orange smoke markers.




Just trying to make the game better. I would certainly appreciate some feedback.  I did my best to keep the ideas within the realm of what currently exists in Aces High.  .  Please no crude comments or "comment battles", just trying to add what I think would be a benefit to the game.  I just want to make the game better and as realistic as it can be and make it fun for everyone.

I like everything except for the dumb bomb thing make it at like 100lb type bomb going off and the WW1 airplane or what ever it is

#1:  Airplane crashes mean something.

Typically when someone crashes into me as a vehicle or when they crash into something destructible it doesn't do anything; except say "so and so has collided with you".  I think that fighters when crashing into a destructible object (fuel, any type of hanger, or carrier/cruiser or enemy vehicle), should be equivalent to a 500lb bomb, and bombers should be equivalent to a 1000 lb bomb. 

A) its a Video game. B) where do you get your figures from? Bombers being equivalent to 1,000lbs?

Its a video game, there is a balance - we have enough kamikaze, you have a set alt limit and speed before bombs become armed. We don't need kamikazes.. Why? its a VIDEO game. There is a certain balance, if people could simply up and climb to 30k then dive bomb whatever they wanted, NOBODY would play the game.

Before suggesting changes to the collision model ensure you understand the collision model and why it is thus.
