Seems like a neat idea, but I wonder how useful it really is? As there is no tactile feedback, you actually have to look at the panel in order to use it. That would see to be distracting to me. I can hit keys or buttons on my stick, without taking my eyes from the video display.
Just a thought.

Oh I have a home made cockpit with all kinds of controls I have built as well as the buttons of a thrustmaster warthog. This just seemed to be a cool thing to try out. Would be neat to get the gauges on a seperate screen so that when I use track ir just the outside of the plane would move. Thinking of a projector set up or a few really giant monitors for that kind of view.
