Very nice video:

I'm almost finished learning to fly/handle a paraglider from gentle slopes, can't wait to go to the french Alps in November to do my first 'real' flights there :)
-
Erm if I were you I'd go during summer :P
-
Yeah well the Missus had other plans for this summer and I don't want to take chances and wait for the next one, in case the Mayans were right :D
-
November is a really bad season in the alps, I doubt you'll get a chance to fly, but good luck!
-
Looks great, but to much trouble in air, i would not want to be there,
i have a huge respect since my almost mid air crash 3 years ago, but
it looks great yes!
Never been at Mont Blanc flying tho.

That was cool! :aok

Any idea why flying on the French side in July / August is against the law as stated in the Video?
Also with that many people, doesn't the risk of a mishap go up a lot?
-
Thanks for the heads-up, SirNuke. I'll double-check the forecasts before deciding :salute

ForHIM,
About the restricted flight zone on the french mountainside, it looks like there are at least two reasons:
- reserving the airspace for rescue helicopter flights
- leaving alone some natural preserves

That's the coolest thing I've seen on the internet all week.
