I've been in Beta for World Of WarBirds and it's very nice, no big maps and 15 mins battles but alots of fun and a ton of planes. I was wondering if any1 has heard if HTC is going to drop monthly price , WOWB will be Prem for $99 year , plus with so many online games now mostly are running $10 a month. I know i could pulls friend here if they dropped price to $10 a month......we can only hope :airplane:

if you like it so much, go play it! I think HTC has way more to offer then any goofy, arcade style, poor excuse of a flight sim written by a bunch of russians. id rather support an american based company, thank you very much. have a nice day. YMMV
and why are you bringing this in here anyway? its kinda like selling a dodge at a ford dealership!!

commies struck again :lol

for everything that they put into making this game/sim for us........$15/month is a steal.

But the Russians are Putin alot into it. :bolt:

No reason to. The so called competition has not been competitive yet.
The price here is very friendly and the service is second to none.

Seen both World of WarPlanes and World of Planes. Been with Aces High since 2005....see no reason to switch for those two. I'd keep AH even if it went UP five bucks a month. Pretty much the only thing I play anymore other than some Rise of Flight and IL2.
Keep up the great work, HTC. :airplane:
-
if wop is like wot, no thanks
-
I thing HTC should drop the price to $14.89 per month.
-
I remember when AH was free and I remember when it was $30.00, $15.00 is fine.

$15 is nothing, and i'm making half as much as i did 10 years ago

You know, a subscription to a game is simply our way of supporting the effort that HTC puts forth. We like his product. We like his service. We have no problem paying him for it. To consider cutting the price simply to attract more players does not build a stronger player base, it brings bodies, nothing but bodies who will move on to the next "game" that goes to $9.00 bucks. That is not a strong base, that is not a loyal base. Now, consider, if the price changes from $15.00 to $10.00 how many more subscribers have to join the game simply to get back to the income that was generated before? So we pack the arenas with more people, increase the load on the servers, increase the BS on the forums that has to be managed, and increase the staff to accommodate the influx of new subscribers simply to generate the amount of income that is coming to them now. And that only happens "if" the population of the game increases by about a third more. Do you have that many friends?
So, you have a couple of friends who would come racing here, but simply cannot make the change over $5.00? Not missing them.
If you like the game, support it.

Not sure why you all are lashing out at the OP. He simply stated some things he knows about other games and then posed the question "do you think HTC will drop the price?". I for one would love if they dropped the price. I do believe that ~$15/month is a fair price, but if I have to pay less for ANYTHING I am happy 99% of the time.
-
It's not just the game but the interaction with other players that is worth the 15 bucks. To me this game is more like going to a bar and have some beers and bs how the big one that got away.
btw if you want a discount then pay 6 months in advance. you will save 15 bucks.

We see folks all the time that want things cheaper. Much of out industrial might has gone overseas for that very reason. Problem now is the fact that many folks can't afford cheaper either for they have no job.

Same here but I compensate for it by drinking twice as much.

Not sure why some of you think responding to an op with an opposing idea is "lashing out".

I think HTC should raise the price to $20 a month just to prove how good AH is in comparison. ;)

overcompensating? :neener: :noid

One thing to have an opposing idea its quite another to tell him "GO PLAY THOSE THEN!" "IF YOU DONT WANT TO PAY IT DON't PLAY IT"
But I thought you would know that...

perhaps because the OP was only speculating on the market for subscription games as a whole and wondering whether AH might get a price reduction - he was not attacking HTC, or promoting other games.
the attitudes (and IQs) of many people on this forum really stink
although this was brilliant:
But the Russians are Putin alot into it. :bolt:
:rofl

I too was in the alpha/beta for World of Warbirds/Warplanes or whatever the eff they area calling it today. I played for about 2 hours. I then promptly decided they should have to pay ME 99 dollars per year to not have to think about how crappy it was.

The funniest thing I've heard all day.
-
they made ah $15 instead of $30 around 2004 right?
now adjusted for inflation how much less is $15 in 2004 compared to $15 today?
your paying the equivalent of $12.36 for AH in 2004 dollars acording to most inflation calculators available on the internet.
-
I too was chosen for the world of warplanes beta testing (I know I am special) and after 3 "battles" I deleted the game from my computer. Graphics were pretty cool but that was about it.
HTC wipes the floor with them. I'd gladly pay $30 a month for Aces High
-
$15 per month, that's 50 cents per day, really a bargain IMO.

Are you using CPI in your calculation? :headscratch:

good thing he didnt use gas inflation otherwise we would be paying 100 bucks a month right now.

Played world of planes or what ever there now calling it, Deleted it and will never touch it again.

Absolutely! They took that and other commodities out of that equations so they can hold onto their jobs. :lol

Now that's just not right, Red made a full dollar one night, but it was for an entire football crowd.

If folks do not want to hear other's opinions regarding their's...... then they should not post. :neener:
Maybe the OP would have better luck on the other games BBS. :D
-
Sorry to hear that. :(
Thanks :) But seeing and reading what others are going through it could be much worse.
-
HTCs already has lowered the price for their product, it's $0.99 a month, but their service fee(s) for babysitting services rendered have just kept going through the roof! It last got raised to $14.00/mo..
-
Im fine with HTC retaining its current price even if other games are lower priced.
I more then get my $15 worth of aggravation a month LOL
-
I'd pay more, if it sped up the development of certain aspects of the game..
$15 bucks for the best online combat tank/flight sim out there, is just fine..
-
I have no issue paying my ten squids :aok

What?
Lashing out at the OP is not an opinion, it's a tirade of ridiculousness. What you quoted of me was not an opinion, but rather a fact.
