That is going to be worth a watch. I hope it's better than the last few series, frmo series 7 on was a bit strained i felt. Nothing could be better than 1-4.
-
One of my all time favorites.
-
I really enjoyed the original series. In fact watching the re runs always brings me back to the eighties in my mind. Ah nostalgia!
I hope X maintains the standard of the original series. There was a one off special a few years ago was dire in my opinion. Too many Blade Runner references.
So I will be glued to the Dave channel next month fingers crossed. Trivia fact: Dave was called after Dave Lister in Red Dwarf.

Rimmerworld
-
Last episode I had watched when Rimmer kneed death in the groin when the ship had been evacuated. I forgot what season that was, but in my opinion that entire season was a letdown from all the previous ones. Kind of like they were really stretching for new laughs and plots
But overall I really wish it was showed here in the states where I am, but PBS no longer carries it

Ok I watched the first two episodes of the new series. Lucky me I have the Dave channel here on this side of the pond. Once you get over the the fact that the cast look a lot older except Lister. Actually it's good in fact to me it's true to the original series. Actually I'm delighted. As a fan I'm really pleased. Welcome back. This series is true to the original. My American friends you will be happy!
Brilliant!

forgot about the new series so missed the first one, but the 2nd one was funny with good gags and proper red dwarf paradoxes. after the back to earth special disaster I was expecting it to suck badly, but 5mins in it was just like old times :aok
-
I enjoyed both of them,
dave only lets you catch up on the website for 5 days after airing on a thursday.
Ace Rimmer is my FPH!
-

smeggin good :aok :aok

I must be missing something. Didn't find enough for even a smirk in either if them

Goalpost head...
I might be able to dig up the first few seasons on VHS (if there is still such a machine in existence) I don't even have a working one, now...
-
So what do we all think? 3rd episode was amazing with the crew generally screwing up history by accident! Love it! Very much akin to the original series!
-
So I just got to watch the first 2 episodes of the new season....
Maybe somebody can fill me in (and I know this is being picky, since Red Dwarf has never worried about continuity ) but the last I remember from the last season I saw... All the crew of Red Dwarf had been restored by nanobots, and Rimmer, Lister etc... where with them (in the brig if I recall).
So how does this season start with them alone, adrift on Red Dwarf again? :headscratch:
Don't get me wrong, I like the early seasons then they where alone better anyway, just wondering if I missed something.
