Title: Death in Syria
Post by: cpxxx on September 09, 2012, 04:24:15 PM
Came across this on another website. Combat veterans might recognise aspects of it. For me it represents one of the most extraordinary sequence of photos of the reality of war I have ever seen. It speaks for itself.

http://www.globalpost.com/photo-galleries/planet-pic/5718451/life-and-death-aleppo-photos

It only covers a few millieseconds. Very powerful stuff.

What I find poignant is the sweeping brush, undisturbed in the carnage.

Everytime I read articles on Iran and Syria from those living there - I just truly feel bad. They just want to wake up in the morning without fear- to live their lives in peace.

There was a bulletin board for a young girl in Iran, who opposed the muslim religion and life style, she wanted to be free - she posted a few comments over few months but eventually disappeared, pretty sure we know what happened to her.

I learned to hate humanity more and more every day, but certain times I see humanity get restored by the acts of kindness. We don't need anymore wars, killings or crime, but then again humanity hasn't changed over thousands of years.

We need to stop funding whoever these "Rebels" are..
All reports and even Video show the "Rebels" to be known
terrorists, even Al Qeada..

Remember, these are people who Betray and Murder just
for fun.. Backstabbing is the way they play!

WHY ARE WE SPENDING MONEY SUPPORTING THEM?
Some of them even brag about killing US Troops..

INsane!

Anyone that thinks they are going to effect change in that part of the world is woefully mistaken.  There are plenty of people that would love to live out their lives peacefully, but the dynamics of the region will not allow it.  Everyone knows what the bottom line problem is over there, but few are willing to actually engage it and change it because to do so equates a tremendous power vacuum and loss of power for a certain elite segment of society.

If you are talking about the big guy in DC at the moment, how is he Muslim (correct spelling) when 4 years ago he apparently had a crazy pastor?

Because people have their tin foils hats on too tight and it's restricting blood flow to the brain and causing serious lapses in intelligence not to mention irreversible brain damage.

The rebels in Syria are generally much more fundamentalist than the government in power, as was the case in Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Afghanistan in the 80s....

When you say 'we' RageFinder, who exactly do you mean? Has your tinfoil hat fabrication business exceeded expectations and contributed significantly to your nation's financial position?

The Syrian civil war is no longer about the Assad regime. The Allwits (not sure how to spell this in English) are fighting for their lives. If the rebels win, the Allawits and allied minorities will be slaughtered. They do not care about Assad the leader, they fight to save themselves. So who are the "good guys"? Hizballa is supporting Assad and the Allawits, while El-Qaida is supporting the rebels. I would like the word to interfere and end the bloodshed, but interfere on whose behalf? bad or worse? take your pick.

You got to wonder what makes people to fight in order to be subjected to islamic totaliarism.

Well sunfan, I admit i'm not 100% sure what trolling is, but if it means berating a pompous moronic xenophobe then i'm guilty as charged  :)
