Title: X-52 Flight Control System
Post by: fbEagle on September 10, 2012, 04:41:55 PM
Does anyone have this stick and can anyone get the mouse control to work with aces high? or with anything else for that matter. I had to uninstall the software that came with the stick because it was making my computer crash.
Is there any other way to get it to work?  :joystick:

You may want to download the driver & software from the Saitek website.  That's what I did when I had my X-52.
I believe I had the mini-mouse mapped (left-right for flaps) and (up-down for landing gear & damage display.)  Then I assigned other functions, while using the pinky-shift.  I believe one was (Map Zoom In/Out)

Once you create a profile for AHII, using the Saitek software, you should have more than enough commands at your fingertips.

Stand By for haters of the X-52 or it's software to reply.

Hi,
I have an x52 so I hope my experience can help you.

First open your Clipboard.
Click OPTIONS
Click MAP CONTROLLERS

Click (Open) the upper right box,
Scroll down & select
"SAITEK FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM"

You can customize whatever setting you like now & set operating ranges for all switches, etc.

Do not forget to calibrate the stick.

If you need the drivers or software go to www.saitek.com....you can find everything there.

Hope this help,

IIRC you must activate the mouse control in the saitek control panel. I didnt use the sst program or setup a profile but you have to install it to get the control panel to make the mouse work.

As a side benefit, open control panel and leave it open on desktop before you enter AH, you will be able to program a couple of things that arent seen by the game for some reason.

If you search through the help and training forum,Mntman has some good imformation about setting up and using the X52,maybe search x52 and Mntman.

   hope that helps.

I don't suppose you have a listing of all those settings, or dare I say, a file copy????? :devil

Just got a new X52 and still setting the buttons, but they are based on the AH2 mapping.
