I was trying to explain his unique rhythm to my 13 year old the other day after we listened to a Zepplin song in the truck. He said he didn't get it.

Which song?

The Ocean, or maybe it was Kashmir...hey, it's been a few days, I'm lucky to remember my Depends in the morning.  :old:

There will never be another.  Although, his son is doing a fine job at coming close if I do say so myself.   ;)

Has anyone seen Led in concert?
I was at the Stairway to Heaven tour in the 70's. It was my first concert, and I was 15. Went with my sister.

Plant come out with a 1/2 gallon of Jack Daniels and by the end of the concert, it was almost empty and he was fricking hammered!

Trivia question: Which Led Zepplin song did Heart always end their concerts with in the 1970's and early 80's?

wish I could have seen them....was a bit to young....but I have been listening to them since I was about 8 years old.....

I absolutely love them....there was a time I would listen to nothing else....and if someone said anything bad about them near me they were getting some knuckles in the mouth(yes I actually punched a few guys for talking smack about them....sorry I had anger issues)

my brother that died at 14 listened to them a lot....I was 10 when he passed....and ever since then I have that one connection to him.....it almost makes me cry now a days to listen to them....all I think about is Doug....

Rock and Roll. I saw them in San Antonio in '78.

Heart did a pretty good cover of "Rock and Roll" didnt they. Saw them in Odessa, '79 or 80 and again in 84.

My wife has retired all my concert TShirts, folded them up and framed them. Kids snatched most of them. But i can only see the front of the Heart Tshirt, so no date.

She also made me a quilt out of all my Harley Tshirts, and another out of all the tshirts i got from kids high school sports and such.

Heart rocked! Boy I feel old in this thread. I saw Zep back in '77, when Page toured with a broken hand. He still rocked.

Rock and Roll, but don't forget The Battle of Evermore.    They released the latter under the band name: "The Lovemongers" (to not piss off the Record Execs), on the Soundtrack to the movie Singles.   IIRC, they released an EP around the same time.
