Went to Fry's the other day for a cpu fan and just happened to stroll past a gaming display featuring a Thrustmaster Warthog.
O M G ! It was freaking awesome. By far the best gaming joystick I've ever seen. Pictures don't do it justice. It's supposed to be an exact replica of the actual A-10 HOTAS and it feels like it. Solid heavy metal construction. More buttons, switches, lights and dials than you can count on both the joystick and the split throttle. The triggers had a nice solid feel to them, too. It also had a solid price tag to go along with it, $499. Sadly I didn't get to fly with it, the computer wasn't on. I came this close to getting one, but just couldn't justify spending that much on a stick right now.
But I know what I want for Christmas! :joystick:

Wish I could find a place that has that thing on display. :frown:

Upgraded from the HOTAS Cougar about a year ago--- I couldn't ask for a better stick on feel, axis, and custom programming.
Buy.com has it for $419 - http://www.buy.com/prod/guillemot-hotas-warthog-gaming-accessory-kit/216830883.html?listingId=-1

Frys has had thrustmaster stuff on display forever. Didn't know you were in the SoCal area rpm (or have they expanded, again?). :aok

They've had a few locations in Texas since the 90's.

Oh yeah, that's right, I forgot they first expanded out there with a couple back then. They've got a couple dozen now out and around in CA now, I'd imagine there must be at least half a dozen in Texas now...
