Title: Kansas vs Missouri?

So is that old rivalry still alive?? And if it is.. are Missourians OK with being label "slavers" by folks from kansas??? I hope there is no real hate involved... How about that John Brown??  He truly was a good man..yea he hacked up a few slave merchants but it had to be done.

We still don't like jayhawkers.  It's not over the slave issue.  Now these days, you cross the border into Kansas, there is some sort of tax you have to pay.

I thought Kansas was a zoo that Missouri built.  Also wasn't Missouri started as a penal colony?

As I remember, they have lots of turnpikes leading into Kansas, and they can Audit a business doing work in Kansas.

I just read that KCMO was voted #1 downtown area in the US by Forbes and apparently they have some of the best BBQ in the nation.. There must be some problems with this Unified Government..

I found that a Pierre Laclede Liguest on Feb 15, 1764 founded Missouri but coulf not find any info on penal colony.. The french had a few penal colonys but im not sure if Missouri was one.

The only BBQ is much further south.

Missouri offered to continue the football rivalry.  Kansas declined.  I think it has to do with still getting Big 12 money.  After Texas gets paid, there's not much left.  I'm sure Kansas is miffed.

Or, on second thought, it can't still be about Lawrence being burnt down 150 years ago or so, could it?
