Title: 100,000 miles today
Post by: SEraider on October 07, 2012, 01:52:17 PM
Reaching 100,000 miles, I don't know if it's a sense of accomplishment, or the sense of knowing my car is on the eve of having chronic problems.  :headscratch:

Contragulations    :headscratch:  hehe

Got a story about my 100K:

When my '94 Chevy S-10 reached 100K, it stalled.  I mean, there was no reason for it whatsoever.  Sitting on the shoulder of I-20 in Fort Worth thinking "WTF?" I look down at the panel and see 100,000.  So I try to start her back up.  She fires up and takes me all the way home, no more issues.  It was as if she just wanted me to take notice.

Just rolled over 140,000 on the BMW, and she still runs like a brand new one.

Probably time for suspension bushings and new shocks, but otherwise that 325i is an 11 year old in perfect health.

Full synthetic only as well, Mobil 1.

I had a Jeep Cherokee that I later sold to my son. It had over 329k on the clock then with the original engine and transmission. My current tow vehicle has 580k on it but then again the warranty on the running gear was 750k.    :)

My 2004 Honda CR-V has 32000 miles.  That's right 4,000 miles a year.

I had a '87 civic hatchback with a manual 5-speed that I put close to 450k on before cracking that engine's header.
