Title: Damage/Time Added To Bomber Scores

I'll first admit I fly 35K+ on 3 hour sorties, thus I propose Time / Amount Of Damage to affect your score...

Should someone who flew 3 hours to space rank higher than someone who flies in low and quickly? Probably not...

Even Mossie bombers flying low and fast to smash a town and fly back to re-arm is time-consuming... 1 town every 20-30min?

shouldn't this play a factor much like the Kill/Time in Attack and Fighter mode?

I think that given the general trend at the moment is to increase the gameplay interface with Strat then nothing should be added to lessen the reward for hitting strat.

As strat missions tend to be longer than town missions and given that towns already reward players with mucho bomber points (when hitting centers)then a ratio that further enhances local town strikes over longer range strat strikes is counter productive.

lets add an altitude multiplier for all formation over25k that hits the stats only

Most of the time strats are time consuming anyways... And besides that whacking strats doesn't exactly pad your score "not talking about what magically appears in the text buffer"

More or less to help curb the town smashers...

I love the patient 60-min hops as opposed to these cheap, Vegas hooker 2-min rides of death. To each their own but do incentivize these more realistic missions.

A Damage/Time score used like Kills/Time in fighter score would actually hurt the long mission buff pilots, as time is the constant factor and who has more kills over the same time has the better score. Average damage per sortee would equalize bomber score for all bomber pilots IMHO.

Average Damage per sortie already exists and barely helps equalize between the conventional bomber pilot and the score pilots... In fact helps the uber-high flyers like myself since I survive much more with more breathing time... And Marathon Mossie Bomber pilots...

In that sense fair enough...

But wouldn't Kills/Time be a similar case? Taking your sweet time only going for selective kills over smash-mouth quick-kill-anything-near fighting be the same?

Making damage/time an important statistic will encourage score-potatoes to bail after the bombing run. Unless score is seriously lowered by not landing, damage/time will have a negative effect on gameplay.

Would help if the op could make clear if the wish is for damage/ time ( as per the title) or time/damage as per the text. One is the inverse of the other.

Does the op wish to reward folk for a lot of damage over a short period or compensate for a little damage over long periods.

I noticed that there are now two types of missions. Pickup and staged? What if a staged mission, or some version of it scored it differently for these strat runs? I do think you could find a way to incentivize these missions. And if it can be done, should be done.

They should revamp the bomber score system to make hitting strats,ammo bunkers,dar, barracks,ect... much more rewarding than hitting towns.

I agree with the last statement, I love my bombing, all I do really. I would like to see us get more points for taking out strats for sure they should be scored equal to hitting a town if not more. It might help get some of the people on here that only do point runs I.e. bomb 4-6 random towns and land 20k+ points to actually contribute to the overall effort. I don't think that time should figure into it but targets should more than they do.

If u take a mission of people to take a base and you drop 2 of the 4 FH on the field maybe something else and land a very low score it's not very rewarding despite the importance of what ur doing. I like the town score the way it is but maybe up the hangers and ords that kinda stuff.
