Title: what's that bombers name?
Post by: uptown on October 14, 2012, 09:04:03 PM: I read a story or seen a show, <dont memeber xacly> about a B17 in the South Pacific towards the end of WW2 that was painted black, added guns and setup for recon. It was attacked by a large amount of enemy planes and still made it home.
That's all I know about it but would like to read that again. Has anyone else heard of this story or what the 17s name was?

I dont know about the "black paint" but I think you are looking for Old 666.
