Is that what you Axis squads in the MA refer to flying RAF in FSO? :devil
-
Axis = bad guys.
Everyone knows this.
-
if you're axis, then the Allies are the bad guys! everyone knows this.

G3-MF updated for November. Looks like we are a bad guy to SOMEONE!!! :devil

190a5s and a6s were replaced in mid 1943 with 190a8s. By spring '44 almost every 190A fighting in frontline units would be an A-8. They shouldn't be capped at 15 max. Compared to F4us and especially FM2s and seafires, they are heavy and very easy to kill. There shouldn't be that kind of planeset.
If you're trying to funnel the majority to 10G6s that's one thing, but keep in mind our G-6 is the earliest G6 model we have. It's from early 1943. By 1944 there were much better variants available, all using the name G-6 as well.
I would suggest removing the A5 entirely, making no limit on the A8 (or at least giving it a generous max), and also put in a healthy 109G14 supplement (perhaps 24 max?)
I know you're going for parity with the Stuka, but by 1944 the only Ju87s flying that *I* know of were anti-tank Ju-87Gs. The Ju87 was removed from frontline duty by then, replaced by the Fw190F-8.
On the allied side we have the problem of the seafire being the mk.II instead of the more common Mk.III. Would it be possible to enable some Spit9's perhaps to replicate the better performance of the Mk.III? They are considerably lighter, having no carrier gear, so perhaps also limit them same as 109G14.
-
This is unlike me but, all of those changes would make this event ridiculous. It would be so unbalance in favor of Axis, no one would want to play. G-14 vs a Seafire? Pfft.
Although what you say is mostly accurate there is one thing to consider. What is in Norway? Of all the fronts and stations of the Luftwaffe, Norway was the most obsolete. "The Forgotten". So they had 109G-2's still, they still had A-5s and would not get their shipment of G-14s until K-4s were given elsewhere.

According to Michael Holm's Luftwaffe site ( http://www.ww2.dk (http://www.ww2.dk) ) IV./JG5 flew a mix of FW-190 A-2, A-3, & A-4 through much of the first half of 1944. The other three Gruppen flew a mix of Bf-109 F-4, G-2, G-5, & G-6

This is the source I used Bino. We have no Seafire MkIII so the Seafire MkII will have to do. If I were to replace the Seafire with the Spit IX it would upset Axis because Spit IXs are there when there were none historically and it would upset Allied guys that cracked them up having to land on CVs with no arrester gear. This represents spring and summer 1944 in Norway not Holland and France. I./SG5 operated JU-87Ds with a high mark of 40 in May 1944 slacking off the rest of the spring and summer. From what I gathered at this website. http://www.stormbirds.com/eagles/bestanden/I_SG_5/I_SG_5_bestand.html The 190-A8s are there to represent the ones that started coming into JG-5 in August 44. I considered adding a few 109-G14s as they started coming into service in August as well. If we had the Seafire Mk III I certainly would have added the G-14 too, but we don't and so I didn't. There are a lot of could have beens should have beens that can happen with this setup. Historically the British raids didn't do much because of weather and the Luftwaffe didn't do much to stop them. This isn't something I did over night I weighed options on this setup for five weeks before a final decision on the aircraft. Norway setups are the rare occasions where the Bloo plane guys get all their toys and the Luftwaffe guys don't have to fly Japanese to oppose them. These are usually fun for both sides, that was my intention anyway.

This setup looks great Shifty. This should be a blast. :rock

bino is correct. JG 5 is that squad that pisses us Lufties off because of the timing and essential apathy towards RLM standards. Devil can attest to that.

That is true. I hadn't thought of that.

That is one of the reasons JG-5 is so great. My second favorite Jagdgeschwader.
EDIT: Any one further interested in JG-5 should read "Luftwaffe Eagle" By Luft Ace Walter Schuck

Gents,
Report in, Launch on time, Fly high and fast, Find red and put many holes in it, Make it crash, THEN let God sort out good and bad from the burning wreckage.
