Title: When Rifles were cheap
Post by: Meatwad on October 21, 2012, 10:17:38 PM
Was looking through an old Guns and Ammo magazine I came across. In the back in the sale section there is a half page ad on surplus military rifles and weapons. Dated Sept 1960

Enfield MkIII $13.95
Enfield MkIV $16.95
French Chauchet LMG $19.95
Enfield 30-06 $29.95
Mauser 7mm rifle $20.00
Kar-98 Rifle $29.95
9mm Luger $34.50

And the good stuff on another page

Russian PTRS 14.5 MM ATR with 100 rounds $250
Finnish 20mm Anti tank gun $200

Oh how things have changed  :cry

found it on gunbroker, just did a search for kar-98. was looking for an authentic 7.92mm version, found a lot more conversions than anything.
