Title: MLS Playoffs!
Post by: Pigslilspaz on October 30, 2012, 12:44:24 AM
Baseball is over, time to start another post season!

(From http://mlssoccer.com (http://mlssoccer.com), with a few edits)

Knockout (Wildcard) Round: The #4 and #5 seeds in each conference will play in the Knockout Round, which consists of one match hosted by the #4 seed

Conference Semifinals: The four Conference Semifinals will be decided by two-game aggregate series, with the lower seed hosting the first leg and the higher seed hosting the second leg. If the aggregate score is tied at the end of regulation time of the second leg, there will be extra time (two 15 minute halves), followed by penalty kicks, if necessary. The winners will advance to the Conference Championships.

Conference Championships: Pretty much the same as the Conference Semis

MLS Cup: The MLS Cup is a single championship match hosted by the finalist with the best regular-season record. If the score is tied at the end of regulation, two 15-minute extra time periods will be played in their entirety, followed by penalty kicks, if necessary.

With that being said, San Jose is gonna bring home another piece of hardware and glory to accompany this year's Supporters Shield and San Fran's World Series.

I can't watch MLS, the defending is just terrible.

I'll go with New York winning it though.

ATTENTION:

The home dates between D.C. United and New York Red Bulls have been swapped due to damage sustained by Red Bull Arena by Hurricane Sandy.

New York will be at home Nov 7th, and DC will be at home Nov 3rd.

HAHA! San Jose beats LA 1-0 with a 94th minute strike by Honduran Victor Bernardez. I'm happy as hell. Beat LA, at their home, in the Playoffs, and its my 21st birthday! Life can't get much better, and it's back to the bars I go.

EAT IT LA.
