First off, it's "You're" and more applicable to the OP as well. :neener:

Being a fashion model is not a real job :rofl

I'm with Shuffler on this one. The first time it almost doesn't happen is a real eye opener.

Sorry to hear that Von.
We rode out Hurricane Fran in Cary, NC.
14 days of no electricity, no hot water, no AC...and getting meningitis from a mosquito bite and ending up with 2 spinal taps.
Seeing multi-mile long convoys of bucket trucks going PAST on I-4o to Wilmington--but not stoppin in our town.
1 in every 5 houses destroyed with a tree downed through the middle.
I hope things are far better for you and the "messa" family!! I hope the fuel situation gets better as well!! :salute
Thoughts and prayers for all in the wake of "Sandy".
I feel your pain.

Having so many tamales and enchiladas for lunch that I have no room for the leftover Halloween candy.
For now.

...and I'm with Vonmessa. It's amazing how the loss of power makes people crazy. The little comforts that you miss makes you appreciate what you have.
Helping others in times of need is more important than your cars, planes, money, and almost as important as Boobs. :D
We brought the local Firemen hundreds of dollars worth of food. (Shoprite food store donated some) They are all Volenteers here, on 12-16 hour shifts and have been living in the Firehouse.
So happiness is a matter of perspective. You can dwell on the negative or positive it's up to you.

Coming home from work (first day we could work all week - that was good in itself) and finding out the power is back on. Only lasted three days but that was major suckage. I was lucky compared to those that lost a lot more. Having heat and power made me giddy yesterday.
