wireless is not very good for playing AH to begin with. If you can, wire your computer to your router that would be the best solution as far as game play goes. I would go to the device manager, click network adaptors, and right-click the wireless adaptor and choose properties. It should say "this device is working properly". Try to disable the adaptor and then enable it. If you need a new card just check the location of your current card (in the properties) and order a new one from newegg with the same interface (ie pci, pcie, usb, etc)

which part didnt work? wiring to your router or just disabling and enabling the adapter? Is this a laptop or desk top?
If it is a laptop,or a desktop? if it is a laptop I have had a problem similar to this. I fixed it by going to device manager and uninstalling the wireless adaptor. (do not uninstall the drivers, just the actual adapter). then restart the computer. windows should now find the wireless adapter and install the drivers. If you do this and it still doesn't work then I am out of ideas. good luck.

One trick further: If un-and reinstalling the adapter doesn't work, try resetting Winsock. Presumably you have either Vista or Win7, in which case type "cmd" in the search field, then right click and run it as administrator. Type "netsh winsock reset", hit Enter and reboot when asked.

Get a cable and plug it in, if it still disconnects your internet company is playing you. :old:
I had it with new connection, for three weeks it went on and off, it turned out to be a batch of moody routers :
I have a old laptop that connects wireless but is very moody, it will be the adapter, try another device to see if that stays connected.

I am surprised noone has mentioned to check and update the firmware on the router as well
as rebooting / resetting the router
hope this is helpful... I agree with using a wired connection if possible

If you run the wire across the floor ONLY when your flying it isn't going to be a big deal. Just roll it up out of the way when your not and use the wireless then.

Lunatic,
I've used a wireless set up happily for several years. And two years ago, I got a new computer, and was advised against getting a wireless card for all the reasons that have been listed in this thread and elsewhere.
I took some Skype music lessons and had to have the computer in another room. I bought, I don't know it's name, a box and a USB thing that produces and receives a wireless signal.
I notice no difference playing AH wireless or hard wired.

I use Verizon 4G for my internet. I get a 10Mbg Download or more all the time. People say it is bad and i understand how it can be bad, but for me it works fine. No one has ever complained about me warping. The only bad side is that i have a 10GB bandwidth cap.
