Title: GV Zoom Quit Working
Post by: Karisma on November 06, 2012, 07:50:48 PM
All of the sudden, I have no zoom capabilities in the GVs.  I checked the controller settings and the keyboard mapping.  All seems to be the same.  Neither the "[ ]" brackets nor the "z" work from the keyboard with all the GVs.  The zoom works fine in planes, though.

Anyone have any ideas what's up?  :pray

GV's are now more "realistic" in the game when it comes to guns and optics. Tanks like the M4 no longer have zoom because in real life it didn't have that, that reflects itself in game as not being able to zoom in. The Panther however can zoom in real life and thus is able to zoom in game, but unless the tanks that do have zoom in game no longer have that option, then you have a problem.

That's assuming you are talking about the view while in the main gun. From the commander's view, you should still be able to zoom.

Checked out my GVs...the only zoom that I get anywhere is in the Tiger main gun and the zoom is not adjustable...just a snap.  No zoom in any position on anything else.   Normal, not normal?

Its supposed to snap right in, you aren't supposed to control zoom. Its all in the "realism" effect that HTC added.

Never mind  I figured it out....the side wheel on my fighter stick was set for analog view adjustment....and it was set in minimum position...dumb, dumb, dumb...sometimes I may be stupid, but honestly, I'm just dumb.  :uhoh   Thanks for the info, and help; you guys are great.    :salute
