I had a little incident in the MA last night and per HTC you will not land a tank on the road like this. Even though I'm all the way on the concrete expect for a little sliver of my right track my turret was not over the direct center of the concrete and I ditched 10 kills on my own concrete. So be careful when landing on those roads. I'd be awfully pissed if I lost a Tiger2 this way.

ive landed kills on the roads like that??
-
I'd say it was a bug
-
I'm frequently landing even planes there without any problem
-
I've done it over and over and over myself. HTC's email says no, that's a ditch.

Yep.
But I'll add i think pavement should have an area around it that i could land safely,6 inches off a runway should still be a successful landing.
-
I've never had that problem. Although, I have frequently ditched out of my vehicle assuming it had come to a complete stop ontop of concrete when it was still slightly moving. Film would show this where a screen shot won't. I've avoided this recently by counting 1-Mississippi before ending the sortie and after comming to a complete stop or what I think was.

I can assure youu I had come to a complete shot. I have the film if need be.

Find out what base it was and try to reproduce the result.
Then try it at another V-base. You may have uncovered a base-specific bug.
:salute

Yep!!! Lost a T2 the other night doing that!!! ROFL!!!! All I could do was laugh about it.
:rock

I've never lost a plane or a vehicle on a landing on that type of road.
-
I enjoy landing a thoroughly shot up plane with missing u/c and a pilot wound, half a wing and elevator and stab missing , only to slide 1/2 inch off the edge of the field for a "you have ditched"
-
Had this in both planes and vehicles. Usually where some concrete by a hanger or object crosses the road, and sometimes when the local object is destroyed and has scattered debris.
I am just ultra carefull now not to do it near debris, not to have have the ac/gv half on a road and half on some other concrete and make sure all my wheels are on the surface of choice.
Had the same issue in towns where the road is near the edge of town.

That sucks

either hanger two or three has a ditch spot on the hanger concrete in front of it. Ive ditched on it more than once.

I did some testing offline at that same base and came up with some interesting results. Turns out you can land like this:
Turns out you can land like this to:
All tests were done at the same base I ditched on with all of the offline drones set to tanks except for one. First thing I tested was to make sure I could ditch while sitting off the pavement in offline and I could. So HTC, why did I ditch while completely on the concrete? Your explanation does not hold up now.
-
I also have film of both of those landings in the last post, for those that don't believe me.

Landing is over rated......

I'm not really mad about not landing.. It sucks yea, but I want things to be right and HTC denies there is anything wrong. Yet now that I've had time to test it, there is clearly something not right about that ditch.
-
I've not ever has an issue with landing any gv or aircraft on the road of a gv base. When in an aircraft I just try and get 2 front wheels on the pavement and call it good.
I think it was a bug, a very obscure bug.

Tap tap... Is this thing working?

Anyone landed a 163 successfully in town?
-
people land kills? :huh

Tap tap... Is this thing working?
I think most of us are just struck dumb at the fact that you were so unjustly
subjected to such an ignominious ending of your sortie. We're still trying to
sort it out while going through countless Kleenex amidst a torrent of
tears. (Shed in commiseration and not laughter.)
Kudos for the massive amount of offline testing you've done in order
to rectify this egregious error on HTC's part.

Tap tap... Is this thing working?
I myself am busy sending HTC emails demanding we all get a full refund for the past year,or we go on strike!

You can do it with any other plane so I don't see why not. Good luck stopping before you slam into a building though.

first we have the post....

then, 6 days later, we get this post.....

It seem you were answered before and just don't like the answer.
