Could we get something like 2x perks in the Midwar arena on Mondays to draw players?
It's a lot of fun, a nice change, and cool to see people flying alternate rides.
Flame on!

Only if at the same time the arenas get finally separated in terms of perks :aok

I'm for the separation of perks across arenas; however, for this to work, it needs to encourage people to go there. Since I'm confident they won't be changing the separation of perks any time soon, the encouragement is that they can use the double perks they earn in MW, in LW.

I hear ya, but honestly... does anyone that needs to go to MW to farm perks in LW... I mean, are they really a threat?

Pffft, I hope that's never, it's a great incentive as is.
What days of the week (US primetime oriented) have you observed to be those with the lowest overall online attendance? This really isn't a bad idea, give a 2-3x multiplier in WWI, EW and MW, hopefuly with each on a seperate day.

you're kidding right? it would be the only way to keep the gamers who frequently pollute the ew from polluting the mw as well. the idea is to get people in the arena not give the turds another reason to do nothing but farm perks...

OK, then how do you propose to get people to come into one of the lesser populated arena then besides offering them an incentive that is not available to them already and in adition to an arena with the most players and the biggest/badest toys?
Despise them as much as you want, those players who wander in there for easier/more perk points are the ONLY fresh meat to frequent those arenas (and feed the small band of regular players in them) besides the off-chance random new person stumbling around all the arenas. You should embrace them for what they are, even if they are only there for perkies, you can probabley utilise that for a greater end (or your gain) while still helping them get what they want.
I understand the biase against the free meal crowd, but really only the hungry will go through the trouble. Which means once they aren't new or perk-pointless players, and they enjoy the largest population arena with the biggest/badest toys like most, what will attract them to participate in your realm? What if we had a day where the population incentive was there in another arena, the toy incentive still isn't, but in addition there is also a perk gaining incentinve (which is drawign in the players and the higher population #s)?... If you're against the disruption to the usualy 1-2 dozen population peak in thee servers for one day, you can find another that is still at a low population for the day. I don't think will "blow up" the other arenas either, you'll get less than half the players from the LWMA since they're probabley content with their perk points, gains and availability of LW toys.

Actually, all it means is that the perk farmers will come en masse and since they are kay-rap pilots anyhow then it becomes a perk farming of the farmers for the good pilots; so in effect it means you can earn more perks!
Also, why in the eff do you care how many perks someone else has or how they got them? Bunch of old lady busy-bodies in this game.

yep :bolt:

Your perk plan for MW sounds like a good way to help perkfarmers get their chores done faster...and that's about it.
But you bring up a subject that is directly or indirectly mentioned in numerous threads...is there life for AH beyond the LW arena?
I'm working on a thread on this topic...when I get it together, feel free to chime in.

Your last point is kinda my point, I don't really care about perks myself or giving out a few/chunk extra to those who really want to work for them, I myself have been playing AH long enough not to have to.
I think perk farmers will farm perks no matter what, even if it's "Midwar Monday/Tue/Wend/Thu/Etc.". It will be of a benefit to them if they attend and participate, but if they are truely that loweliest of scourage everyone claims is just avoiding the random conflict and chaos of the larger population arenas to just farm perks... I'm thinking they'll continue to do what they are doign and may actually avoid these timeframes.
- So no I strongly disagree, as far as our "traditional style" of perk farmer goes, those will especialy not come en masse to a popular event that will involve more risk than the traditional (or enhanced) reward they exclusively seek. Yes, ti will encourage those who seek a greater reward but aren't looking to dodge the "usual risk of combat".
Perk farming for the "experienced pilots"... well, unless having the potential to afford twenty-five 262s tomorrow is a lot more attractive than my current twenty-four, and I'm sure I'm not alone. So if perks are pointless, then it boils down to if the fights are good, and yes those who enjoy good fights will come if there are good fights to be had (a bit of an oximoron since they're going to be mostly against "noobs", right?). But there will still be good fights to be found in the LWMA too, and with all the planes available there as always. It will depend on the players I guess, I have no doubt there will be those who need to prey on the weak, and those who will participate in the nostalgia of it being new at first.
I'm mostly trying to think of a way to coddle newer players who really want to make a satisfying amount of perk points (which is any above the little to none they have) and encourage some more positive experiences in regards to infusing some participation and population in the Mid, Early and WWI arena (besides another "awesome fun" once-in-a-blue-moon evenings, IE: only when the LWMA crashes).
