I was discoed yesterday while flying around. When i came back i noticed that the CVs were not shown, but the way points were. I soon found the CVs to be sitting stationary at their respective ports.
Here is a screen shot of where the CV is and where it should be.

Hunter I logged in to post the same in the bug report. Thanks for the screen shot, it depicts the same that I have also experienced.
The serious side of this "lag / reconnect" issue is that as far as I can tell, I can operate off the "phantom fleet" (or should I call it "Ghost Ship") where it exists on my computer. Let me explain, that on my computer the phantom fleet allows me to spawn/ and possibly gun from the location of the icon, not the actual location that is represented by the rest of the arena.
I know this for a fact, as I was discoed and returned to my aircraft during a squad mission. My squadmates must have thought that I lost it when I was reporting my location when I relaunched from the same CV that they were circling to recover me for the mission. Sometime later, I eventually caught up to them a sector or two away by following their communications and dar dots, sometime after that the fleet's location was corrected to what others in the arena were reporting and seeing. In this and every such occasion since that involves missed placed fleet, I have seen the path of the fleet in one location and the physical fleet in another.

From what I can tell the CV is driven by our computers (frontends) with updates to the CV's position coming from the server every few minutes. (CV position data is separate from waypoint data.) After a reconnect from a disco, the CVs' positions are not reported initially which places them in their default spawn locations as built in the terrain, and you have to wait for the scheduled position update from the server before they show in their "correct" locations. I figure that due to lag, that location is not the same for everyone and it is why I see people come in for a successful trap off the CV at times. I wonder if adding a time stamp to the positional data coming from the server would sync up the CV's location better on every ones' frontends? Not really that big of problem but we do need a CV update sooner after a reconnect.

It's interesting that you are seeing this behavior after a disco, but presumabley you are not seeing this when you log into the arena for the first time (or any time other than a disco)?

Correct, only after a disco. I was discoed twice within about 10 mins and both times the CVs (there was another CV on the other side of the island) had gone back to their respective port and were sitting stationary. The CVs were not moving at all. The Second disco i was in the air. When i returned back to my plane the cvs were back at port as a mission was upping from where the CV shouldve been. I landed about 10 mins afterward and the CVs were still stationary at port.
