I haven't drawn anything with actual paper in like 2 years, been using the Tablet.
the wife asked me years ago to do a piece for her and I finally got around to doing it....
its done in Charcoal size is roughly 28 by 18...took me about 3 hrs.
I forgot how much fun it is to work on paper

-
Outstanding work, Ink. :aok

Dude, that is incredible.. Do you do any paper based art "on commission"? I'm looking for something I have in mind for my living room, but cannot find anywhere...

Man,I have trouble drawing a straight line with a pencil and a ruler and you show me something like that!!!!
And you didnt even use a pencil........ :devil
:salute
-
wow! I mess around with metal art....but have no skill with a pencil. That is amazing.
-
outstanding , Ink!
do you use a charcoal drawing/shading kit ( ie... graphite charcoal pencils?, regular charcoal sticks of differing shades?, white charcoal stick or pencil? or even a complete charcoal drawing kit- it includes all the previously mentioned items plus other stuff kneed erasers etc.. not gonna go into details here )
excellent smudging & brush & smearing details from what i can visualize
not bad at all, for not doing anything like it in over 2 years.... :aok ( hope you don't mind , I copied/saved it and sent it to my Daughter, Jamie .......... she is a lion / tiger fanatic, lol )

:o
guys Thank you...
TC- I used a hard Charcoal for the darkest parts and smudged the rest with my fingers, I rubbed 2 sticks together so they would send small "chips" of the charcoal all over the piece then slightly rubbed that in for the specks in the fur, and then used a eraser to get the highlights.
I have used Charcoal before but only a few times, I am far more used to pencils
I remember when the wife and I were homeless living in a camp ground, we met a old couple who were living in the next site, we were up talking about GOD and sitting around the fire, I pulled a chunk of burnt log out and did a giant wolf head, (the woman said she loved wolfs) I gave it to her, she cried over it....
I am honestly humbled by your complements you guys.....I know some here think I am a braggart, have an ego....but if they knew me they would know that is so far from the truth, I still cant think or feel that I am good at anything....
reading what you guys are saying makes :cry
again Thank you
Paul

You're not just another pretty face, Ink! That's awesome! :aok

INK, my friend...wow.
If I send you a family pic, can you do the same thing? I will pay good money for it. I have our latest fam pic.
BTW, we have 12 baseball players with parents who would crap themselves for charcoals of actual pictures of their sons....how much a piece? Buyer pays the freight. Also, do you work in oil? The baseball facility has a giant blank wall and the owner knows what he wants but the people he has chosen to do it SUCK. I'd get you a ticket on American Airlines and put you up someplace close but you gotta bring your paint. PM me.
Slash is up the road and he and I can take you buy HTC to harrass Skuzzy with your sword. I went by there once but Skuzzy told me they were closed and pushed me out the door as he locked it. Wasn't nice but I understand. If you bring your swords and Slash brings his badge, Skuzzy will have to give us the tour.

That is a strikingly beautiful piece of artwork
Next time you shoot me down, I'll think of that drawing
(it's hard to call it a "Drawing" because it's so good)

MY mother makes a living making art like that. Ink she says that is a stunning piece of work.
You could easily make a living in Colorado in some of the art friendly towns.

Its a very emotive piece containing many metaphors, but the political content does distract from the original theme :old:
Shida and myself have discussed this piece at length and have come to the conclusion that there is a inner meaning to said art work, do you wear slip on footwear and use a electric razor?
Well done Ink on your efforts and as a community we all believe that with time and practice you will one day improve :old:
I am myself can draw but at present I am not allowed any sharp instruments or combustible materials whilst at my current abode :old:
When are you going to add the stripes to do aformentioned animals in artwork?

What's been keeping you from CA for the past 10-years then? :devil
Really awesome work, your strokework is very impressive. What eraser (or trick) are you using to make those highlights and IE the white whiskers so sharp (an electric maybe)? My mom has always done waterpaintings and charcoal pencil type of drawings (outdoors/landscape exclusiveley) in her free time - some people can't look at those pieces of work and aperciate how much concentration goes into each move you make. 3hrs is a rushed job, which makes all the detail that much more impressive.
-
Wow, Ink, that is really amazing dude. terrific job! Keep it up man

I work it fast..... I am just using a basic eraser...which I will work slower..the stiff one that comes to a point on each end.
some times I will use a gummy eraser if thats all I got. oh ya......the wife will not go :cry
Thanks Red

The AG is still trying to get e response from the feds about their take on it. The People of Colorado have spoken. Most I have talked to about it suggest taxing it like alcohol. They feel its no worse than drinking.
The only thing bad I could say about the art is that male is not lazy enough and not treating the female like one of his ho's.
Still some great work though. At least its not like a wolf painting my wife brought home that looks more like a group of huskies. Snouts were to short and heads were not near the scale of a wolf.
