There were no Spits at Singapore before it fell.

The Defense of Singapore fell to the brewster that is not represented in game, Wirraways, Hudsons, Albacores and Vildebeests. Hurricanes did arrive on the 20th of Jan.

The Brewsters has such poor preformance, that the units riped out the radio masts, rear-vision mirrors & cockpit heaters, reducing the gun cowlings and gunports, and replacing the .50cal guns with 303s.

I know - and players always comment about the setup when we run it.  And to add to your info: on 20th of Jan when the extra Hurri's arrived to suplement the existing ones - England sent Hurri Mk IIA - that wasn't metioned but it's just a point in many in this battle.

As one of the hardest setups to balance, we added the Spit otherwise it'll be a total breakfast sandwich of hurri's and brewsters.  We (the AvA admins) will often balance the planeset to make both sides fair, even when historically the odds are very lopsided as in the Battle of Singapore.  The IJA/IJN demolished the Commonwealth and Dutch forces in a matter of hours during the first part of the battle.  It was a surprising loss that resulted in the death of 10's of thousands of British, Canadian, and Commomwealth POW's.

:salute
