Post by: hgate on November 24, 2012, 09:39:58 PM
I just recently came back to the game, and im looking for a in game trainer to help me out on some tactic for defence and attacking (dogfighting)

Heres a video that made me think on how my game play was compared to this guy in a p47

I can't seem to warp my head around on how this guy turns his plane, i get alot of flip overs when i turn now adays.

Thanks.

LOL!! Thats Lepape2 and he was just flat out unbelievable in the Jug. All that is, is spending a couple thousand hours in the same plane and stalling it over and over again until you understand how it will recover each and every time.

The trainers will help you tighten up your ACM (air combat maneuvers) and help you get the timing down on the hows and whens, but most of all its just practice. If you have the time to practice, you'll have the shot at getting that good.

:huh :huh :huh Lepape2 is the Jug master! Ive flown with him for a long time....and still dont believe how he does it! Trainers just look at it and are frustrated just like us.  :airplane: :airplane: :airplane: Keep practicing, see you soon!  :old: :old: :old:

pull back full elevator, give it full left roll, and kick the rudder to the right. Also adjust throttle to help spin faster or slower...

That is how it is done.

Hit the TA around 9 central time during the week, most of the time either me or Morf are there.  As long as I'm not already with a student, I can help you out.  That move you see there in the video is a last ditch thing as you have zero E when doing it.  It looks pretty, but is very limited in usefullness, as it leaves you defenseless, if you fail or it's a multi-con.  I used to dogfight with LePape in the TA quite a bit and he'd tell you the same.

Go see these guys Hgate.  Both are very helpful and easy to get along with!  BigRat and Morfiend are two of my greatest friends in AH, and I know they can get you back on track!

I fly jugs almost exclusively in the MA.  Look me up if you want to wing.

That video...  I'm so glad I'm not the kind of guy that has to be the best at what he does, because that video would make me flat out cancel my account.

Awesome stuff.

Turnfighting decently in something like a jug, or really any plane that's not particularly good at it, is all about experience.  The more you do it, the more you learn to do things that many other people can't.
