Yesterday, just for fun of it, I did rip off wingtips of Ju-88 and see how it flies...
seems also like Ju-88 begins to leak fuel when it loses right wingtip, but didn't really matter since it was just one of four tanks. (I saw two smoke trails, but damage list only told that one tank was damaged)
I got surprised when I pulled couple of loops without wingtips without a problem(!)
I recorded those loops and landing in different files to save up some time and size.
Heres the films:

Other planes seems to fly *pretty* well also without wingtips..
It seems that there isn't much loss of lift even though that half wing might be gone, nor drag from possible torn off skin which then makes these 'impressive' aerobatics possible. (P-47 with drop tanks looks cool without wingtips (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif))

if you get hit on the Right gear in the Ju-88 you get smoke as if you were leaking oil.
Damn krauts cant keep those tires clean! Filled with soot!

Fishu, did you ever check your Ju88's level speed without wingtips, and compare it with the max speed attainable from a 'whole' 88?

Hmmmm.... Looping....
Fishu, are you sure you want to hear two tales of a Blenheim looping??? ;-) Told by a/ a gunner b/ pilot last saturday? ;-)

I got speed up to 240 mph at sea level.
though, I didn't test speed with undamaged one.
I did test speed with P-47D-25 without wingtips as well, I got it up to 320mph I think.
