We can uncheck messages from most any channel including system. Can you add Host to that so we can ignore the achievement spamming?

Does it show you other pilot's achievements?  Or is it that you're accomplishing so many achievements in your flying that it's clogging up the buffer?

A way to turn them off would be very nice.

There is enough going on without seeing this spamming. I can see where it would maybe thrill someone brand new to AH but it is irritating to others.

I would appreciate a way to turn it off or opt out.

I think it works like everything else. Squelch 6?

EDIT: Still get achievement messages (from HOST).

I think after the first few days of flying you'll have caught all the easy ones. Seeing as you won't be bother to go for any others the pop ups will be few and far between.

Some of the Achievements are interesting, more like mile markers on a trail. Maybe you could go through the long list of achievements and mark the ones you are after and then you are only notified when you hit those marks. As an example, after my first landing I was notified I had joined the 1,000 point club for having over 1,000 perks [who cares.] Or landed a damaged plane, so 'kiss the ground' achievement, [again, who cares.] Now, when I pop the 20th P-51 or whatever the threshold is I would find that interesting.

Just my two cents.

I like the achievements, only maybe not so many. A few silly ones are good to keep it light.

And yet Shuffler's only asking for a way to turn them off...

Why not make this an option?

The host notice is what he is talking about.   First time I hit a Vbase i got all the stupid little notices of ord kill, barrack kill, radar kill.. etc  the descriptions made me laugh.  Almost like playing mafia wars or something.

I know squelch 1 hides the silly <S> overload that occasionally goes on, wonder if that would work.
Checking.....

.... squelching channel 1 does not hide achievement messages.

Problem... seems turning off the achievements only work for that time... do you have to turn it off every time like squelch??

whats wrong with something other than getting a horde of green together and taking bases?

at least most of the achievements require you to actually have combat.

I'll let the kiddie posts go. After all the achievement system is for the new folks.

I think it may turn them off permanently. I am thinking they reset something and it made it default on again as I have not had to turn it off since the second time.

This is very similar to IOS Maps..... just sucks from the start and keeps getting worse..

You can't squelch the kids with a star by their name now.

Would be great if this wasted time were applied to improving the aircraft and adding more.
