Take it apart and see what broke - that is, if it isn't new and under warranty.  If you can't fix it yourself, it will be better for you to buy a new one than to send it away for repair.  Who knows how long it will take to get it back and it will still be used (and on borrowed time).

X-52s are nice but more or less disposable, due to suspect durability.  The throttles seem to last longer, though.  If you get more than two years out of one, it's not a bad bargain.  I've bought three so far.  :D

Have you checked the Game Controllers in Windows, if it works there? Many ways to find it, but the multi-windows way is to type "joy.cpl" in the Run window.

Due as recommended and check on the computer.Use devices or game controllers from control panel. There is 4 screws underneath to remove bottom. There is 4 pots underneath if I remember correctly.
I have a extra joystick for parts. If there is something you find wrong and think you can fix it. You can send me a email through AH.

I have a extra working set of x52 I may consider selling for what I paid for them from ebay. Also if you watch ebay you can get a good used set for 40 to 60 including shipping.

 Rog,

check the mapping in AH to be sure the axis is assigned properly first!  if thats ok the ,the saitek control panel,if installed if not use windows game devices and check to see if the axis works there.

If you find it not working, check the wire between the throttle and joystick, they come loose and it's possible to bend a pin so as tocause problems. you can replace the wire with a ps2 wire available at most bigbox electronic stores.  The X52 uses halon devices and not pots so they rarely go bad but I understand they can be dislodged from their place.   I have an old X52,it's 10 years old now and still works fine,I quit using it when I bought at warthog a couple years ago.

Generally I find if you secure the wire from throttle to joystick so it cant move and use a powered usb hub you will have very few issues with the setup, some of the button might wear prematurely but for the cost it's a pretty good value.

Check the wire ends closely,I used a magnifying glass to see, and make sure all the pins are straight and all there!

   hope this helps!
