Someone please explain to me how the damage model on the HQ is supposed to work. I was under the impression that the HQ had 4 levels of damage, as described below:
At %25 damage the owner team loses allied radar blips
At %50 damage the owner team loses allied radar bar
At %75 damage the owner team loses enemy radar blips
At %100 damage the owner team loses enemy radar bar
The reason I'm asking is that right now in LW the Knight HQ has had 20k+ worth of ord put on it within a 15 minute period and according to the clipboard the Knight HQ is fully up.
Also, I dropped two SAP bombs from the Me410 directly on the same HQ, heard 2 explosions (the drop was true, no doubt I hit the HQ), then made 2 passes over the HQ using the dual 20mm cannons and quad 13mm. I had to ditch on the RTB flight thanks to a fuel leak, but this was after I got damage in to a Ta152 and was awarded a kill because he ate a tree during our knife fight. What is interesting is that I earned not a single perk point upon ditching. Glitch? Or am I missing something?

HQ damage is all or nothing, the damagel levels above have not been in play for many, many years (at least 8+)
Also, you only get perks for destroyed items, just damaging objects doesn't give you anything (just like assists)

I could have sworn just recently I saw on a map where I could see allied dar-bar but not allied radar blips, meaning the HQ had been partially damaged. :headscratch:

My memory also tells me it is still in effect. But it is only from memory. It is possible I am wrong.

Outdated information. In fact, all the seven years I have been playing it has never been something different than all or nothing. Not a single time. Drop 38K on it and *poof* - ALL radar is gone. No in-between. Never. Ever.

I will head in to the arena and take B24's armed with the 2k bombs to the HQ. Why don't you do the same if you're not too busy working your score and rank. Report back as to what you find. :aok

No need to. Observed and did this stuff countless times over the past years.
A quick research seems to indicate that the gradual damage model of the HQ has been 'lost' when going from AH1 to AH2.
in AH1, was posible to take down the HQ step by step, : enemy dot dar,friendly dot dar, enemy cnt,friendly cnt. 4500 lbs, for each/18000 lbs for total blindness,
I see those settings still on "country Strat/status " . What for !??
Now, if a bomber pilot climbs 1 hour to 30k, and hits HQ with 27 000 lbs, gets nothing
By the way, I'm neither 'working' score or rank in this tour in any way. :P

For HTC- just before the server reset this afternoon, I did bomb the HQ with B24's (4/2k bombs) from 20,000ft and had a solid hit. Lets say at least 18,000 lbs of bombs (at least 3 of the 4 2k bombs) made a direct hit. No damage occurred to the HQ. Nada. I got a few auto ack guns destroyed thanks to splash damage, but that was it. Otherwise, no change to the Knight HQ status.
I would really like to see a tiered system put in place. If the hardness of the HQ does not change at 37,500 lbs, let start the damage effect at 25,500 lb of damage, then 29,500 lbs of damage, then 33,500 lbs, and then fully destroyed at 37,500 lbs of damage.

yes outdated information...again. it would be nice if the vehicle and plane lists would also be updated..........

At one time you could bomb it down by levels ,but it was changed about 9 years ago because it could not be re-supply untill it was full down and the tears wher overwhelming because folks would take it part way down and stop. :devil
