I wish there were an option to turn the sun down for those with sensitive eyes like me. Washing the screen out is fine when looking at it, but it doesn't need to be so bright to where my eyes hurt. :frown:
:pray
PS: I already have my contrast and brightness set very low on my monitor but it's still a problem.

Wear sunglasses, quit whining.
PS, change your Alpha setting in graphic options.
-
It is historically correct, so no....

I wish there was a way to turn down the loudness of theconstant MidFail 200 channel crap.... it's so obnoxious, stupid, and tiring.
"tweet:STFU, your arse should be be beat"

Change your heading a couple of degrees so the cockpit frames block the Sun and the problem is fixed.
ack-ack

or change the view with the arrows to hide behind the frame

Considering how bad of a pilot you are midway, the sun is the least of your problems.
-
I know about moving my head position, but in a fight or moving around, I can't keep it blocked. I just would like it turned down some. Will look into the alpha setting, whatever that is.
Thank you. :salute

But I like climbing into the sun to blind the person behind me. It's gotten me out of a few sticky situation before.
-
The sun in your eyes is a good thing. That way you can't see them see you coming. :D
-
Don't you go outside Midway. What are you a Morlock? :old:

Yeah, I'd say the sun has been around for a hell of a long time, too. :lol

I think it's great that it blinds you by washing the screen out, it's just the intensity of the brightness I wish would decrease. :frown:

you realize it's no brighter than a plain white screen right?
-
Turn off your monitor and use the Force, Luke :D :neener:
-
You could use the S.A.P.P trick, use your thumb to block out the sun when you fly.

Not so, pilots in WWII were on average about 20 years old and had excellent eyesite. Most pilots in this game are much older. It turns out that around age 40 everyone starts developing night blindness and it gets worse as you get older. What night blindness is, is when your eye's iris takes a lot longer to open when transitioning from bright to dark lighting conditions. This is why older drivers are told to avoid driving at night when possible.

Well said. I believe the reverse is also true... going to bright light fast with eyes responding by slower closing of the iris causes the eye pain/strain. If I block the sun with the cockpit frame, then every time I move and the sun shows for a few seconds it hurts again. It would be great if there was a way to turn it down without changing other aspects of the screen. It is just the high intensity of the sun causing the problem. :pray

ahhhh, I'm blind. :lol
Actually, if you go to your Window's display setting and turn down the brightness level. I did this a while back and the sunlight seems less intense.

But then everything else is darker too. :frown:

Not joke too much.
I finished to the doctor for that, I suppose, and I am quite hungry.
Doctor offered to observe the game, just to control any possible cause of
iussue, but I said not for now. I want to conduct some test by myself firsi of all.

hey I'm just the messenger here :bolt:

I like the sun as it is but maybe a "virtual thumb" could be coded; you can stick your thumb in front of your eye to block out the sun and its glare.

Try the DOT Command for Sunglasses. Works great.
