:airplane: Well, judgeing from the post these days, you guys have nothing to do, so, how many "gusset's" does a "B" model ponie have in the left wing? That will keep you busy for a while trying to figure out that one!!

:huh :huh :huh None! :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :neener: :neener: :neener:
-
Do you mean ribs, spars, of stiffener angles?
-
My left wing is usually shot off, so... survey SAYS: 0

Only the pilots in Aces High need gussets.... :old:
"a gusset is a triangular or rhomboid piece of fabric inserted into a seam to add breadth or reduce stress from tight-fitting clothing."

Not as it relates to aircraft:
"Gussets, or gusset plates, are used on aircraft to join and reinforce intersecting structural members. Gussets are used to transfer stresses from one member to another at the point where the members join."

:airplane: Close to correct application of parts! Anywhere there is two metal parts connect on a 90 degree angle, there is a "gusset" placed for reinforcement! While I never counted them, looking at the blue prints for a "B" model ponie, it has 12 ribs, which there are 4 gusset's attached to each rib where it joins the main spar, 2 in front of spar and 2 in rear of spar, for total of 48. The rear spar only had gussets at the front of the spar, 24, for a total of 72. I should have specified spar gusset ts only, as there are also many other smaller gusset's placed in various places in the wing for strenghting.
