Title: Cartoon #110
Post by: The Fugitive on December 30, 2012, 12:53:15 PM
This one came about while I was talking with WWhiskey. He plays on a big screen TV and I was telling him about my Christmas present, a 39" 1080p LCD TV that I am now playing on. I went back and forth trying to decide on 3 monitors or one big one and I'm happy with the one big one. Some of you "youngin's" may miss the reference, but google "drive-ins" if you don't get it  :devil

As always, looking for ideas to keep these going!

Is it sad that I only know what a drive in is because of the book The Outsiders?

Not sadder than I knowing it from Donald Duck magazines.

Do the hot dog, box of candies and soda dance across the screen during intermission?

Waits for Lawndart...  Everytime you turn around he is upgrading to a larger screen.  Think current size is over 50".

When I was a teenager in Maryland a remote XXXX drive-in in the country had a hill on the property across the road from the entry booth. It was a right of passage not to get caught by the farmer. Sometimes he had been on that hilltop for awhile ahead of us.........

Alas that farm and drive-in eventualy became a Washington DC bedroom community.

I bet that within the next 10 years books will be something that kids don't know about.

From what ive seen about what little they know about History or anything else they already don't know what a book is.
