Yes.

I have had this one for 5 years and the Silver portion will detach.

What do you need it for?  I got a Saitek X52 HOTAS and read about spiking and constant calibration problems.  There seemed to be a vague sense that the X52 was a power hog and most of the issues were caused by underpowered usb ports.  I got a powered usb hub (Belkin) at the same time I got the X52 and have always had the x52 plugged into the hub.  Over a 4 year period, I have never had any issues with spiking or calibration.     The hub does not get the red icon off your 6.   :cry

I just ordered a hub after getting the TrackIR.  Do a google on powered USB hubs.  A cheap powered hubs seem to be questionable on the power source.  I ordered a middle of the road Belkin but it was kind of a shot in the dark guessing a name brand might be more likely okay.  I went to seven ports knowing the four ports might leave me short in the future.

they are a good idea, but not for your G35 as it needs a full USB 2.0 bandwith

It was for all my input devices :old:

The G35 needs its own usb then :)
