Since upgrading from XP to Win7 my "~" key (message window size - tilde) and the "[" key do nothing (but the "]" works ok). I've tried re-configuring the zoom keys in the "Map Keys", but no effect.
I was wondering if copying my settings created in XP might have something to do with it. My system is a all-in-one HP purchased about a year ago. Also, I've used 4 different keyboards.

You did an upgrade from xp to win7 or a clean install of Win7 - reason I'm asking is - you shouldn't have been able to upgrade from xp to win7 (vista yes, which is still problemattical (library issues/search not working etc)).
If you did an upgrade, I'd recommend a full clean install of win7 to clear out any lingering xp resources (which wont work under 7)
If not, you might need to redo your settings from scratch - if nothing else, you'll be sure you've mapped em right.

make sure your keyboard's parameters match the keyboard that you have plugged in

There are drivers (Bluetooth) which will intercept those keys.
Have you tried using the "Fix Key" button in Options->Preferences->Map Keys?
If that does not work, then some other software is grabbing those keys and not passing it on.

Cool thanks, that worked. :aok
My system originally came with wireless mouse and keyboard. I switched to my old wired setup for performance and realiability.
